Doug's Year Round Lawn Care of Columbia

Absolutely the worst experience me and my partner had with this guy. Total liar, arrogant and extremely pompous! Hell tell you he will do everything you have talked about and completely disappoint you. We ask Doug to clear our backyard of trees, vines/roots, and debris. He quoted us $4500.00 to do the full job. He told us that there will be phases to the job. We were prepared to see a blank yard with nothing but tilled dirt. As we review the yard we noticed there were so many items and debris still in the yard. On top of that there were roots sticking out of the grass and large objects still presents. Doug also broke our irrigation pump and damaged the cover he didnt even replace the cover for it. Things Doug said to us that he would remove. This was all included in the original price. He then comes to our home unannounced and demands full payment for his unfinished job. I told Doug you havent finished. I offered to let him finish the job in order to receive his full payment he declines. He then goes to the magistrate court and files a complaint against us. We appear in court for the unpaid debt and the judge rules in our favor that he DID NOT do the job properly. There were countless thing that were mentioned that he could not deny. Beware of this guy Doug he does not do good business. He also didnt even keep good records of his so-called expenses. We had to ask Doug for an invoice. He was prepared to walk away without any proof that we had ever paid him more than half of the money up front. Be careful.

Doug was supposed to come to my strip mall every two weeks to maintain the property. That lasted about a month. He supposed to spray the parking lot that had weeds coming out of the pavement but they remained in the parking lot. He then just stopped showing up. I would not recommend Doug!! I'll never hire this guy again, no matter how much I like to support small businesses. Not worth the money I spent. I pointed out that he killed my lavender and he took zero accountability - saying he mistook it for a weed - this would've made more sense if there weren't a bunch of weeds that he left untouched. When i asked him not to blow the leaves in my neighbors yard, I guess he decided not to blow them at all (?) Now i have to go out and rake. I don't think he takes much pride in the quality of his work of satisfaction of his customers. very disappointed
