This was my worst hotel stay in recent memory. Here are the highlights (low-light?): -The bed in the room was worn out, very stiff and uncomfortable with spring noise and spring feel. -The outdoor parking lot light was aimed directly into the rooms window and there was only a sheer curtain available. We slept in effective daylight and slept very little as a result. -The washroom was noticeably worn with crumbling stucco and a pitted mirror. A previous guest or housekeeper had written theyre watching you on the mirror in soap which became visible as the washroom fogged up. -The table we sat at for breakfast was dirty with water spots and crumbs. We were at breakfast early after a crappy sleep, so I don't think other guests made the mess. -The soundproofing was... absent. We heard other guests, parked and idling vehicles and a passing train as we were trying to sleep. -In other ways (decor, paint color, in-room amenities) the property has the feel of an older unit in need of an update. We stayed at an independently owned hotel at a lower price point the following night and enjoyed a clean, comfortable stay with sleep. As a result of this stay we are unlikely to stay at a Best Western Hotel in the future.
