Hampton Inn Columbia-Downtown Historic District

A little sour, but I had my bike stolen from this hotel which was locked to my car. Not happy about the bike, but the lack of return phone call about the camera footage (I was parked in Diamond parking up front), and the noisy AC unit and sounds of construction all night were not great. Nice location, and this hotel will probably be much better after the current construction. Who knows if they will ever call back with footage from my theft.

They are renovating the hotel & it looks great. The issue is the walls are paper thin. You can hear running water from thr room next door. Also, they don't have adjoining rooms with a king & 2 doubles or even 2 double rooms!! Parking is very limited.

Love staying at Hampton inns but this stay was less than ideal. My reservation was made online and I checked in through the app but for some reason there was an issue and they could not print me key cards even though I had a room assigned and ready for me. Finally, they allowed someone to let me into the room and brought my keys later, but that was nearly an hour after check-in where I was basically told to stand aside in the lobby while they took care of other guests. There was construction going on in the building at the time so things were very disorganized around the dining/lobby area. The room was okay and the hotel was in a good location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Overall a very frustrating experience I don't expect from a Hampton Inn.
