Block Island Beach House

I have to give a honest feedback. I have never been to US nor this Island, but when i look at this Beach House on Google maps, i must say it looks fabulous, i will surely consider to visit if i ever be here in this lifetime. I know the review is not helping anyone, but i felt its funny :-P

Pros: perfect location right on Crescent Beach. Lounge chairs and umbrellas available on beach if you get out there early enough. Staff was nice and responded professionally to every interaction. Cons: for the price paid the hotel should be stellar. I was in the king with balcony first few nights. Shade Missing off the door so people outside could see you showering. Staff at desk was nice and brought up a temporary shade. The balcony is off the bathroom . Room is extremely small. No room to move about. Rug under the bed filthy and tv did not work. (I have a video of but google won't let me post it. One pic is the dirty rug and other pic is what the rug should look like). Ac ran all night even though it was turned to off. Moved to queen with balcony for last night. This room is so much better. Cleaner. Rug looks normal. I wish I was in the Queen whole time as I feel it is a better value and the balcony is where it should be. It also costs a lot less for a better room. THERE IS A POOL???? Where? Never saw it and wasn't informed by staff it was there. (I learned about from these reviews). Wow. Restaurant: for the amount of money we are paying to stay here there should be waiters. Instead you have to order your food at the bar and seat yourself. No water or soda machine for when bar is closed. They could put one outside on their porch or the gravel patio outside. The hotel doesnt sell bottled water either. I get it. Its block island. You are paying for location but if you are going to charge the same price as an exclusive resort in the Caribbean there should be improvements. Id go for the queen room with balcony and save your money.

I made an error when booking which lead me to check in one day early. Allison at the front desk found the issue, remained calm, professional and nonjudgemental, and helped book a room for the night quickly before there were none left. With my mistake, the service was very accommodating and crises averted! We ended up staying at the Lark Suite at the Gables for one night and the Surf for one night. Both sites were clean, beautiful, and located close to everything. We had such a good experience that we are planning our next trip with Lark Hotels already! Cannot recommend enough! Rooms: If you want a more private and quiet room, the Gables is for you. If you want a room close to the beach, the Surf is for you. Walkability: Both the Gables and the Surf are within walking distance of all the major shops, restaurants, and bike rentals on the island.
