We had a delightful stay at the Traveler's Rest. Such a charming and unique space. Comfortable, safe and friendly. The owners (and their pup!) are wonderfully friendly and the bagels and donuts in the morning were a nice surprise. Highly recommend.

We stayed two nights in Pittsburgh with our two kids and had a great time staying at Traveler's Rest. The hotel is unique, charming, and provides an authentic Pittsburgh experience. The owners are welcoming and lovely to chat with. Having bike storage was a great amenity and allowed us to explore the nearby trails. Parking nearby was easy, and we had no trouble leaving our bike rack and car-topper overnight. The room with bunk beds was perfect for us. It can be a little loud in the mornings with nearby industry, but it's a small price to pay to be located near restaurants, the inclines, transit, trails, the river, and a great view of the skyline. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone!!

We only spent one night here, on a trip to the Wheel Mill, and it was a very nice place to stay. The room was very clean as well as the bathrooms. The great room is very impressive and the owners are extremely polite and accommodating. Didn't use the bicycle garage because the neighborhood seemed safe enough to leave the bikes in the truck, but that was definitely a deciding factor when we were choosing a place. The bathrooms are across the hall from the room, but the place is quiet and comfortable enough that it wasn't an issue. Will definitely return if the Wheel Mill ends up staying open. Rooms: Nice and clean, comfortable beds. Bunk bed was awesome for the kids. Nearby activities: Get to Bicycle Heaven if you haven't already. Amazing place.

A totally unique experience unlike any other major hotel chain. A spectacular building with rich history, beautiful craftsmanship, and cleanliness that is above and beyond. I find it hard to write this review because I want to keep it all to myself. What a hidden gem, and just minutes away from downtown. Despite being minutes away from major tourist attractions, I'm throughly enjoying just sitting here in the lobby (living room, meeting space.) This building is to be respected and taken care of. The owners have been nothing but kind. They are responsive to any requests and maintain a beautiful old building. I travel often and this will be from now on the only place I book in Pittsburgh. Long live Travelers Rest. South side rocks! Thank you (owners) for this wonderful service.

We loved our time at Traveller's Rest! Paul and Mary Beth were lovely hosts. Exceedingly welcoming and gave fantastic recommendations for things to do in Pittsburgh. The building was beautiful, beds comfortable, and morning coffee delicious! Our favorite part was borrowing bikes and cycling around Pittsburgh. Can't wait to come back and try the GAP trail!
