image I had a great time doing a private cutting board class

image We went with a group of 5 coworkers and had an amazing time. We signed up for the pepper mill workshop as we wanted to out the lathe. We had Jack as our teacher and he was fantastic. The equipment was well maintained, easy to use and they precut just enough materials to let us focus on the really fun parts. I'm now the proud owner a beautiful set of salt and pepper mills. I'd recommend this to anyone, either as a date, a coworking event. Or just plain old fun.

image I took the cutting board class here and it was an awesome class. Unfortunately you dont really have time to customize the board too much to your liking outside of edges and a router cut, but this is a great introductory class to woodworking. You get first hand experience with using all the machinery necessary to square up a block and then do some finishing touches to shape it into a cutting board. I will say, if given the opportunity to switch your appointment to a smaller section, take it. I appreciated the smaller class size as there were more one on one experiences and it took less time to finish your parts. Unfortunately there is only one machine per operation (and there are a good number of operations), so you have to wait for the class to move onto the next step.
Our instructor Rob is really just such a cool and kind human being. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding of anyones situation. You can tell he has a passion for this stuff and wants to share it with the community. I highly recommend taking this class just to have him as your instructor (unfortunately he doesnt teach any other class). Hes the type of person that of something goes wrong, you know you are in good hands and he will get you to the end. I would take any of his classes, even if it wasnt the most popular. Make sure to ask him any woodworking questions as he really does have do much wisdom from treating wood, different types of wood, physics of wood, best ways to approach certain types of wood, you get the idea. After the cutting board, he suggested the joinery class. Definitely will be taking that next time I get the chance.
The shop itself is well equipped with name brand tools and machinery as well as has many safety features such as self stopping blades, dust extractors, and PPE on site. The machines look up to date, are well maintained, and ensured that you get a clean, accurate, and safe cut. And the shop itself is pretty clean and well stocked.
I highly recommend this particular shop and experienced staff for those looking to get into woodworking or those interested in taking your woodworking to the next level. If I lived closer, I would definitely consider getting a membership.

image My fianc and I went to their Express Intro to Woodshop class and had such a wonderful time! The instructor, Adam, was so knowledgeable and thorough, giving us background and the Why of things, too. The class has a perfect mix of guidance and independent work, and I was never made to feel bad asking for help. The ONLY downside was the room was so cold, so if you go on a cold day, DRESS WARMLY. Otherwise, everything was 10/10 and we now have matching table lamps!

Thanks for joining us Briane, thrilled you had such a great time! And thanks for the feedback on the temperature. We'll keep a better eye on that!

image I recently took a private woodworking class with Adam. He was very knowledgeable and patient explaining how to safely operate all of the tools and answer any questions that I had. I hope to take another class in the near future to hopefully be able to tackle some moulding and other carpentry projects in my home.
