I had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Roedl who saw my father. He read my fathers MRI and took so much time to explain the findings. He actually did not have to do any injections - but I am incredibly thankful for the time he spent speaking to my father as well as the truthful explanation as to why injections would not benefit him. His staff was also fantastic. Also big thanks to the most fantastic neurosurgeon, Dr. Gaurav Jain, an absolute life saver.

I was very thankful for finding Vincera institute, however they do not take commercial insurance. It is my understanding, commercial insurances do not recognize the procedures Dr. Myers performs. I had some improvement from surgery but would love to come and see him again. However I paid over $15,000 out of my pocket and cant afford to do that again. Ive had so much discomfort since 2006 it is draining both physically and mentally.

Vincera felt like a mill. A copy and paste recommendation for surgery that was challenged by various medical professionals and misleading, inaccurate billing from the office. My first visit was spent waiting three hours in the evaluation room. Upon seeing Dr. Meyers, he recommended injections which provided no relief, yet I learned he wrote in his notes that they were effective. At my second visit surgery was recommended which involved bi-lateral hip arthroscopy, right pelvic floor repair, bilateral rectus abdominis decompressions, etc. Consequently, I became aware of many negative reviews from patients with similar operations. To top it off, I was informed by the office they accepted my insurance, and that I would receive a complete refund for an MRI costing me $1,675.00. Upon trying to get my refund, I learned that Vinceras office is irresponsive, ignorant, and rude at times. Two years later I was refunded only $219.00. Every insurance agent I spoke with stated Vinceras billing strategy was questionable, and that I had been mislead by their front office. Needless to say, Im grateful I did not go through with the operation, and I recommend avoiding Vincera Institute.

I had bilateral FAI and pelvic floor reconstruction on Election Day 2020 (crazy time in Philly). Dr. Meyers is very nice and he was trying to help me but the result exploded in my face and I have not found an undo button available for my current living nightmare. Somehow my sacrum is getting pulled into flexion, femur gets stuck on the front of the hip socket, glutes not getting proper innervation, there is no space to work with, upper cervical spine is being pulled into flexion at the same time ( e.g.- cranial sacral connection). My TA connection has disappeared along with the rest of my posture. Im a complicated case with many variables involved. Mainly want to warn others that unless it is an acute and obvious core muscle injury at the root cause, you may be treating the symptoms and end up worse than you started. Agree with the other comments that the Vincera website and admin. made it sound like they help you with a super bill for insurance. In fact, they bill insurance for themselves on top of the $70k spent out of pocket for the 2 bilateral surgeries. It would have still been worth it to get my health and life back!! Dr. Meyers is more human than most surgeons but there are giant holes in MSK medicine. Should have stuck with counterstrain, CST, and acupuncture.

I contacted Vincera seeking recommendations for surgeons who treat athletic pubalgia/core muscle injury in my geographic location, as Im unable to afford surgery out-of-pocket. Since Dr. Meyers is a renowned expert, I assumed Vincera would be a great source of recommendations of other surgeons who treat the same type of injury every good doctor has a network. I work in healthcare, where recommending other providers is a standard practice, especially for clinics where procedures arent covered by insurance. The admin staff was rude and dismissive once they realized I didnt intend to get my surgery from Dr. Meyers. I spoke to 3 people and each time was told no one else does the exact surgery he does, so we cant recommend anyone else. Thats like saying, Because I have a unique treatment for PTSD, I wont recommend anyone else who is competent in the treatment of PTSD. Not only unhelpful, but unethical. Eventually the office manager told me shed consult the doctor and email me recommendations. I have to assume she was just trying to get rid of me, as that was a month ago and Ive heard nothing. In the meantime, Ive received opinions from four excellent surgeons at Cleveland Clinic and Pittsburghs UPMC hospital system, and am moving forward with a surgeon whose research on the treatment of athletic pubalgia has been praised by none other than Dr. Meyers. No doubt Vincera is great for the few who can afford it, but some of the best doctors in the country have assured me that going into debt to see a rockstar surgeon is not necessary in the majority of cases. There are many skilled and well-reviewed surgical teams who take insurance. Take your time interviewing surgeons, get multiple opinions, and beware anyone who tells you that they are your only option.
