Very greedy. They will try to get you for as much as they can. I made 1 phone call to switch companies and saved over 200$. Do not trust this place.

To say that I am infuriated, is putting it lightly. We purchased our first home in 2012, and have had this insurance company since then. In total, we have had four claims. We always paid our premiums, and we thought things were fine. We just received a letter today stating that they will be cancelling/not renewing our policy due to having TWO claims within the past 36 months prior to the renewal date. The recent one, which happened in January 2024 that we are still in the process of repairs. The one before that was 10/04/2022. So I started going through my files at home to try to find the specific part of the policy that states this. The best I could find was they have a right to cancel if the risk to the home has increased. So having a MAJOR water pipe burst, flooding the family den and utility closet, causing the carpet to get ripped up was the incident that happened this January. The previous one back in 10/2022 was a windstorm claim, which they ruled that there was no evidence of wind damage (we submitted the claim after three days of INTENSE rainstorms with a lot of wind, and there was a small leak, so we assumed wind damage. At no point at all, in the many phone and email conversations with our rep did he state that our policy was due to be cancelled because of 2 claims within 36 months prior to a policy renewal date. What frustrates me even more is how in the policy, about 60% into the policy pages (somewhere around page 110), it says that mailing a notice to the address on file is sufficient enough. My husband worked in life insurance, I have multiple friends in the insurance and home repair fields, they have all unanimously said that the way companies word their policies is to be almost as indirect as possible. It's says that they have the right to cancel if the "risk to the property increases." So a wind damage claim in 10/2022, that they found to not have wind damage, and the water damage claim in 1/2024 is such a risk increase to the home? That is fine. Many companies don't truly care about their clients, it's about making the company money hand over fist. At this point, once these repairs are done with the referred contracting company, in which I hopefully do not have to interact with anyone from this company at all, I will respectfully let them know how my husband and I feel, will be sharing our experience with those close to use, and moving on and closing the chapter of having this company.

I have never done more work for home owners insurance. Usually its just a quick call with some specifics but they required video documentation do the whole house which prompted fixes to be done to obtain insurance. They ultimately canceled our policy any way when we disclosed that we had a pit bull because he was deemed an ineligible dog breed. He is the friendliest dog I know.
