My husband died recently and he was a donor for the Gift of Life. I asked them if they knew or worked with a Funeral Director, as my husband was also a Veteran and wanted to be buried at Washington Crossing National Cementary. Gil filled the whole package. I highly recommend him. He talks to you, listens and explains everything. He's very down to earth and I think we need that kind of person at that very moment when we feel most lost.

My Uncle recently passed away unexpectedly. He was destitute, in a nursing home, no funeral arrangements were made in advance, etc. Its upsetting enough when a family member passes away but then you have the added stress of paying for the funeral, and all the fees that go along with that. My uncle was an organ donor. The Gift of Life program had given me the name of Gil Schobert to call. I called him, explained the situation and he said Let me see what I can do to help you. He made a few phone calls and because John was an organ donor, he got the cremation costs written off. I cant tell you how relieved I am and very thankful for him being so kind & compassionate in a very difficult time in our lives. Thank you Gil!
