The View has significant issues with water intrusion, trash/cleanliness, and gnats. Multiple pipes have burst damaging entire rows of units to the point where they were stripped down to the studs. The staff is constantly changing but none have managed to stabilize this poorly constructed building. Also, certain staff members are incredibly rude to residents, as many other reviews state. As an update, the current management is by far the worst the building has had. No one is ever manning the front desk. Prepare for meal kits to rot because management is too lazy to put them in the refrigerated package lockers, dog walkers to quit because they are always locked out of the building, delivery drivers to leave packages outside unless there happens to be a resident passing to let them in, and the phone to ring off the hook when trying to report overnight noise complaints.

There is literally NEVER someone at front desk. It can be the afternoon, evening, etc. Even if they are in the management office they will not answer the door. You basically rely on other residents to let deliveries, etc in which defeats the point of a concierge. If you have a pet and need a pet sitter to come you'll have to give them your key and fob. For something that is meant to be a plus is a huge inconvenience for residents, guests, and delivery people.

Although The View drew me in with a good early bird rate and its spacious private dog park for Center City, things went horribly downhill during and beyond my two years of tenancy. Months after receiving a check with my security deposit refund, I was sent to collections without prior notification even though I provided several forms of contact. Mind you, I took steps to prevent this. Prior to moving out, I paid off all my dues and requested a copy of the ledger from management to confirm I had a $0 balance. Overall, it took almost a year to resolve and only ended when I finally got through to management, who very casually said that I was in the right. They had been nearly impossible to contact (with team members constantly changing), and claimed it must have just been a system error, but that doesnt return the copious amounts of stress I had to endure over this. Beyond the sour taste this left behind, The View also had many issues while I was a tenant. Street doors were often left broken, or propped, voiding the purpose of having a fob lock door for safety. The loading dock was also broken for much of my tenancy with a huge metal door barely hanging onto its hinge, which was also a safety issue. The AC system was also a big problem. During seasonal changes they would perform maintenance that would result in only hot or cold air working, not both. Multiple times, this led to errors wherein the cold air wouldnt work during some of the hottest summer days, or the heat failing when it was necessary in the cold. There was also a major instance where a neighbors pipe burst flooding every floor, which I was only informed about when I returned home and saw the damage. This was just one of the many defects of this poorly constructed building that management not only fails to maintain, but adds onto with their incompetence.

I have LOVED living at the View! The building is extremely well-kept, maintenance very responsive, and I feel very safe living here. The rent I am paying is well worth the amenities as they provide an excellent living experience and seem to actually care about their tenants unlike other places Ive lived previously. Very impressed!
