        Putting my experience here, because every other avenue has been a dead end. I recently cancelled my homeowners policy when selling my house and requested a quote for a renters policy for my apartment. The agent neglected to submit any paperwork in a timely manner and my apartment building caught fire within a couple weeks. The insurance agent admitted fault for not doing their job, but said theyre not going to do anything about it. I had to pay over 2,000 out of pocket for hotels and cleaning my furniture due to the agents negligence.
