My son and I stayed two nights while in the area visiting colleges. We were both swept off our feet by our hosts' kind welcome, their beautifully restored house, and the A+ breakfasts: perfect bacon, scrambled eggs--miraculously neither runny nor dry--and, this morning, blueberry scones still warm from the oven (and some to take with us for the long drive home!)
The two large common areas are full of great antiques, without feeling fussy. And don't forget to look up, wherever you are in the house, or you'll miss the period stencilling and details on the walls and ceilings. It's a joy to see a beautiful house appreciated and restored this way, and a real treat to be able to stay in it. Thank you!

Elaborately and beautifully done Victorian mansion restoration presided over by friendly, professional, and knowledgeable hosts. My wife and I were at the house for a very well presented Sunday afternoon tea.

Absolutely the best stay! The bedrooms, parlor, library, dining area are all exquisite to spend time in - you are surrounded by high quality antiques and beautiful design. The attention to detail is impressive - from the fresh floral displays to the cream sherry decanter : ) The breakfasts are delicious, varied, and very generous, plus you might find a freshly baked coffee cake in the afternoon with plates waiting for you. We cannot thank Z and Monika enough for their warmth and hospitality - they have literally mastered the bed-and-breakfast experience and made it possible to truly appreciate this restored historic home. We came to visit colleges and gardens in the area (of which there are plenty to entertain!), but ended up also really enjoying the easy walk down to Media that has just about every restaurant you can imagine.
