TownePlace Suites by Marriott Harrisburg Hershey

The hotel was not clean at all. The hotel check in person was beyond rude. The sofa bed had stains when we pulled it out. The hotel smelled horrible. Curtains were ripped in the room they switched us to and the bathroom was not clean. It had mold on the wall. It was so bad we left. They do not deserve to hold the name of a Marriott.

Hotel as a whole smelled horrible. Room was outdated and dirty. Either the window or ac unit leaked because the floor was wet, and there was mold on the ceiling. Hot tub was broken. Breakfast ends at 9. I should have spent the 30 dollars I spent on breakfast on a better hotel. Only saving grace was the employees were all nice.

The location is good, but it was hurt with the Mall closing. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly, especially the second shift person. Would have been nicer if the hot tub was working.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were cozy. We were very satisfied with the condition and cleanliness of our room. The pool was warm and clean, and the hotel is conveniently located to a Sheetz as well as some good places to eat. The only issue that I had, and it was no fault of the hotel, was an issue with 2 other guests. To sum it all up, these 2 white women asked me to have my 4 black, pre teens to get out of the hot tub so that the 2 of them could get in. They then went inside and addressed my kids and sister, asking the same thing. This was after I overheard them talking amongst each other, saying, "there are a bunch of them in there. Maybe they will get out"... This was my 1st time ever experiencing something like that. Aside from that, I witnessed the front desk clerk offer water bottles to about 6 guests who were checking in. He even asked them all how many they wanted. People asked for 4 and 5 at a time. He didn't offer me any water when I checked in, which wasn't a big deal until later when I went to the front desk to ask for some. I stated that I didn't pick up any on my way in. He just simply went to the back and grabbed 2 and handed them to me. There were 3 of us standing there, and why didn't he ask how many we wanted like every 1 else. This made me question why he never asked if I wanted any to begin with. I just took the bottles and thanked him. After the 1st incident, I was just really in a mood and didn't even want to question why
