My daughter attended your SAT Cram Course on Saturday. Initially, she was not happy to spend 4 hours of her Saturday in class, but afterwards, she was so glad that she went! The teacher was great, and my daughter learned so much during the course. Additionally, I want to thank John for the consultation he provided me, he pointed me in the right direction, and saved me a lot of money! Christianson Tutorials was a great asset for my 3 children in the college admissions process. John Christianson's one-on-one sessions helped each of kids be better prepared to take their standardized tests. He individualized lesson plans and found different ways of talking to each child based on their needs. My daughter specifically said his test taking tips were incredibly valuable. Taking the tests aren't just about knowledge, they are knowing how to approach the problem. John is an expert at doing just that. He taught skills for speeding up the math section by plugging in answers. His idea to figure out the answers to reading questions before reading the multiple choice options also was of great help. These are tips that must be taught and cannot be gained just by buying a practice book. John also provides superb material for all aspects of the test, including a grammar packet that taught my kids lessons they hadn't had in school. I have no doubt my children's scores improved significantly because of the time spent with John Christianson.

As a parent of a student preparing to take the SAT, I wanted to help guide my daughter to do well on the test. Every parent can relate to the challenges of getting your child to practice SAT questions while they are trying to navigate a very demanding junior year.
Barb from Christianson Tutorials was able to serve as a buffer between me and my daughter, so that I could support her, but Barb was able to challenge and encourage my daughter to practice and put in the time. Barb's kind demeanor made her easy to work with and brought out the best in my daughter.
From the beginning, Barb told my daughter that she would help her with techniques and strategies, but she was only going to do as well as the time she put into practicing and studying on her own. Barb did a great job of identifying my daughter's strengths and weaknesses and held her accountable to work on her timing and practice the homework specific to her weaker areas. My daughter trusts and respects Barb, and that was the driving factor to showing up prepared for Barb every week. My daughter took some practice SATs before working with Christianson Tutorials.
After tutoring with Barb, she took the SAT in October and scored 150 points better than on the practice tests. She then took the test again in March and scored even higher raising her score over 200 points from the practice tests! I have, and will continue to recommend Barb to our friends.

Our family had a terrific experience with Christianson Tutorials. Before signing up, we carefully weighed all our options for SAT prep e.g. self-study, an instructor-led classroom setting, online tutoring, etc. I chose Christianson Tutorials because I felt that one-on-one in-person tutoring would be the best fit for my daughter. Under Kassi's direction, my daughter took multiple practice tests which she reviewed with Kassi each week. In addition to reviewing the questions that my daughter answered incorrectly, Kassi also shared tips and techniques for taking the test. My daughter took the SAT a short time ago, and we are extremely pleased with the improvement in her scores.
