I haven't had running water since November, 2023 due to the fact my "landlord" stopped paying the bill and refused to let me put the utility in my name. She has called several times and gave them permission to let me pay the bill. They won't allow it. Won't tell me how much the total amount is, told me I have no in things because I'm not listed on the bill. Also told that I won't be able to make payments, it will have to be paid all at once. As much I hated not having running since last year, I still HATE the Portland Water Bureau even more. I can only hope a federal agency steps in, sees the corruption, fires the whole lot followed by a class action lawsuit. I'd be the first in line to si e the petition.

terrible water company, I've been paying them the same way for 3 years, suddenly this time they didn't receive payment and they cut off our water and asked us to pay a reopening fee. it's so crazy

Omar, customer representative is the worst person to talk. He is unprofessional, not friendly, disrespectful and no manners at all. In the past, I had to talk to his manager regarding his attitude and actions. Recommend, Omar he counsel: I dont appreciate his behavior.

I sent the wrong payment (substantially over my bill amount) to PWB, was a pending payment according to my bank. PWB stated was already posted to my account . Bank said not true. Customer service at PWB very unhelpful when asked to refund the amount sent. When asked why not noticed that the amount was substantially higher then my monthly bill the customer service agent said well if you send
Us money we will take it. Apparently it will take them up to 3 weeks to sort this out. I asked why we cant sort this out immediately, was told that is not how it works, When I asked why this takes so long she said that they need to make sure the payment clears. If it hadnt cleared why cant they just cancel this payment, was told thats not how it works. Seriously archaic processes and severe lack of customer service. I asked to speak with a supervisor, was told they could call me back in 24-48 hours. So the epitome of public service company gone wrong.
UPDATE: got a call back from Ryan- way under the 24-48 hours I was quoted. He gave good recommendations for quickest way to get my payment back. So not all is bad, recommend talking to a supervisor. Thanks Ryan
