I have been taking my cat here for years and was happy with the care provided up until 2 or 3 years ago. There has been a noticeable change where they seem to only be able to treat a very small range of issues and anything else they tell me to go to the emergency hospital, urgent care, or an entirely different clinic. The first and second time that PAH told me to take my cat to the emergency vet I completely panicked and rushed her there only for the emergency vet to look at me puzzled and tell me my cat was completely fine. Besides the unnecessary amount of stress this has caused me and my cat, it is very, very expensive to double up on exams and pay emergency vets for routine care!
I finally decided to take my cat elsewhere because PAH has not been able to treat my cats cough for over a year. After prescribing her medications that made her sick and as her cough got worse, they once again told me they could not provide follow up care and once again told me to take my cat elsewhere. It turns out we have been treating her for the wrong thing this entire time. I have spent hundreds of dollars on medication that my cat did not need and I watched her get more and more sick. At some level I can understand that it is hard to properly diagnose an animal, but there is an added layer to this quality of care where the environment feels stressful, the staff I interact with are always different and also indifferent towards my cat and I think that has lead to some mishandling in her care. It is upsetting to receive an email asking for a google review after all of this; I would have liked to give a positive review but the disappointing level of care has had a very real impact on my cats health.
