Andrew Shinabarger performed my surgery today 10/3. The doctor was amazing he made me feel comfortable and came off very professional and friendly. Unfortunately I called his office to ask a simple question that I had not gotten the Opportunity to ask due to the state I was in after the anesthesia. I called asking about obtaining a knee scooter after my ankle surgery. I started off with asking the receptionist how he was doing like any polite person would do. But apparently the person I was talking to had no interest with what I had to say. I understand it is a medical office but it dosent take a person much to have some decency and and answer politely. Rather than receiving a simple answer to my question I was answered with this is the receiving office how may I help you. Completely disregarding what I had just said. I guess people are too good to answer a simple question about how they are. So I proceeded to ask about the knee scooter and the response I received was I dont know you have to call back tomorrow with a tone that clearly showed he had no interest in my question. no help was received. The front desk people I spoke with in that office before have been great, kind and polite, but not this person. Im no expert but I would assume someone that receives calls at a medical office would be somewhat polite and understanding, especially when one of the doctors patients just got out of surgery (which I stated in the beginning of the call). After I hung up the call just did not sit right With me, is it out of the ordinary to be polite? So I proceeded to call back and told them I had just called and asked for their name, instead of a name I was told this person was operator 5 other than a name. Im not one to write reviews, but this just did not sit right with me. Although To clarify , Shinabarger is a great man and he knows what he is doing, highly recommend this doctor!

My last experience with Dr Andrew Shinabarger was sadly disappointing. It was April 21, 2023. A friday, I so looked forward to the visit as I needed help with my painful feet. Well that did not happen. It was in and out, the doctor was not interested...he acted as if he couldn't get out of there fast enough. I will not go to see Dr Shinebarger again.

This office cost me time and money.
Dr. Shinabarger is nice, however his office took almost two months to get appointments scheduled. All of which were done virtually and less than 10mins long.
Had there not been such poor communication within his office, my MRI would have been completely covered. Im now stuck paying out of pocket.
All of that aside his staff literally lied to him, pulled him away from another patient, to have him pick up the phone, and accuse me of using profanity with his staff.
I spent more of my time calling the hospital to clarify this incident and have that specific staff member addressed. In hopes that nothing like that ever happens again.
Feels like giving a bad review for a burger joint.
I never thought I would write a review about a Drs office like this.
Looking at my bill, how much time was wasted, & my total time spent talking to the Dr. I cant say I would recommend him. Be careful when scheduling with his staff, be ready to reschedule.

Had three surgeries with Dr Drew. The office runs on time, always. Really really personable people.
