I was going to just let this go until I was reminded of my experience by getting an unexpected bill 5 months after I ceased therapy. My doc referred me to Good Health Physical Therapy after I was diagnosed with EDS last May. After 6 months on a wait list, I was finally able to schedule an appointment. First impressions: the Raleigh Hills office is insultingly inaccessible. Nearly impossible to get there via public transit. They are on the second story; I was unable to locate an elevator, the parking lot and wheelchair ramps are poorly maintained and dangerous. The waiting area is cramped and challenging to maneuver in, with uncomfortable furniture. My assigned PT didn't improve my experience. Despite giving a detailed medical history, he repeatedly forgot or questioned diagnosis and ignored me when I told him what hadn't worked for me in the past. He repeatedly made anti-fat jokes (I am not overweight). He forgot my partner's name, who was attending with me because I was unable to get to the office myself. As a visibly and openly queer person, his frequent references to his church and faith made me worried and uncomfortable. Every session increased my pain and caused injuries. My final straw was my PT spraining my thumb in our session, and then stating he didn't know that joint was that unstable. I am still attempting to recover from this injury 5 months later.

they teach inaccurate, dangerous methods. i was told to keep my core engaged 24/7, now i have constant searing pain in my back and recently learned about stomach gripping. apparently engaging your core all the time can even weaken your pelvic floor muscles. like every other medical industry clinic, they find a way to blame the patient, cause worse issues and then charge to fix the issue they created. if i wanted an audience while i stretch id start an onlyfans, not pay some wannabe doctor to watch. ableist as well constantly saying the owned is disabled and can do something so i should be able to/can one day too. pipe dream editing to add that after getting a copy of my medical records, they never documented my car accident! now i have zero record of it happening, and it appears no exam was done to see if I was injured. this place is extremely unprofessional

I called to gather some information and Kristen spent so much time giving me information and educating me. It was the first time that someone had really taken the time to find resources for me and walk me through the process. She not only got me on a waiting list but she also took the extra time to give me extra resources on places to gather information before my visit. She no doubt went above and beyond. I have never received such incredible care from an admin and I truly appreciated all of her time and effort. Thank you!!

I specifically sought out Liz Finley, because it says in her staff profile that she does Dynamic Manual Interface (DMI) treatments. I had great results with this type of technique in the past. On my first appointment, I was very clear that I wanted DMI work. She did do this type of work for part of my first appointment. After that, she mostly switched to things like squats, heel raises, picking up marbles with my toes, and back bends to "squeeze the inflammation out of my lower back". At the beginning of my fifth appointment, I again told her I wanted DMI treatments. This is when she told me she would not be doing much of that. It would have been honest and less manipulative if she told me this on my first appointment. On my fifth appointment, she measured my neck flexibility and said it was worse that day than when I first came to her 12 weeks earlier. I told her that was because I was receiving DMI before I came to her. So I got worse under her care. Add to this, that I found her to be rude, judgmental, and dismissive of my opinions, feelings, and concerns.
