Providence Eating Disorders Program

HONEST REVIEW* I went here in July of 2021 and left 8 weeks later (that is their average length for a patient). The average day-to-day here was a lunch, supporting mental health sessions/talks and classes. A snack will also be eaten there. Substitutions will to made/added to your meal if it does not meet your nutrition plan. Mental wellness, physical activity, and symptoms will be tracked everyday. There was very kind and supporting staff at my time there. Weight and vitals are taken everyday to see your progress. Nutritionist, therapist, and doctor is assigned to every patient.

I went here when I was 15 - I'm now 20 and I really credit this place to my recovery. The child program worked really well for me and I stay in touch with people I met there that are also doing well. Get more information about the adult program, I'm not sure how good it is.

I was kicked out of here due to my insurance not thinking I 'progressed enough', along with being spoken to like a child and the like. They simply kicked me out after I wasn't gaining enough weight. I'm now 20k in medical debt for a place I was kicked from.

I agree with other people. The staff is beyond horrible. You have Jordan who knows nothing, Alicia who is also incompetent as main therapists. Their inexperience shows and Ive heard a lot of other people in the community talk about their bad interventions, clueless comments and poor therapy style. My sister also has an eating disorder and I told her stay far away and go anywhere else but here. I think they hire anyone with a pulse and they really caused me to think I was the problem but I know now it was the therapists and the program. Between super anorexic ( even my mom mentioned this) and fat therapists they dont make anything about recovery look appealling. They cause more harm then good. Shut Them down!!

The staff is so inexperienced and it shows. Jordan told me I would always be sick and have thoughts and it was clear she has no experience with eating disorders. Her little art therapy is useless. The rest of the staff seems underweight and poorly informed. What is wrong with this place? I would NEVER send anyone I know there.
