I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain due to muscle tension for most of my life. There is very little that offers any kind of lasting relief. Rich provided everything you want from a massage experience. Calm and clean environment, comforting presence, and a skilled pair of hands. His deep tissue massage style really got into my tension and in just the one session, I felt noticeable release. In the following 2 days, my muscles were sore, like after working out pretty hard but by day 3, my neck and shoulders feel less pain than I have had in years! I highly recommend! Thank you Rich!

Many years ago, I worked with a very talented massage therapist. I was spoiled to see him every month, which helped keep my body healthy. When they moved, I spent years trying different therapists. Frustrated, I gave up. Rich from Portland Bodywork was referred to me from a friend after I suffered an injury that caused me to miss two work days. After one visit, my energy improved, my pain started diminishing, and I finally found another amazing therapist. Rich is the real deal. Rich is friendly, communicative, and is clearly an experienced massage therapist. The space itself is also warm and comfortable. I felt relaxed and more clear after massage.

I've been suffering from lower back pain for 2 years that has at times left me unable to walk, tried everything to get relief from chiropractic, to massage, to PT. Rich located the areas that have been troubling me and I left feeling more relieved than I had felt in years. Rich is also very communicative and respectful to boot, highly recommend seeing Rich if you've been dealing with chronic pain. Best massage I have found.
