We came to Portland for the NCAA womens basketball tournament and this place was perfect. There is everything you need for a short term stay and its quite spacious. The location is very fun, safe, quiet and walkable. We walked to Moda a couple times and took the easily accessible public transit. We would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed in the Osprey Studio - Rm 2005. Clean and spacious with secure parking included, this room is fine for a short-term stay for one or two people.
PROS:
Clear instructions for checkin and checkout - very simple yet secure. Secure parking. Very clean. Studio was spacious. Bathroom and shower were spacious, including large counter on sink. Excellent Wi-Fi. Great location, with restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Though we didn't use it, was nice to have washer/dryer. Umbrellas provided in case of rain. Skylights were nice to have (as there were no windows - as was expected).
CONS:
Unlike the other units, this studio has some overhead ducting that seems to be part of the building's air system and that emitted a constant low hum. For the most part it wasn't noticeable, but might trouble a light sleeper.

We came down to Portland for a mini-vacation and the Violet Suites PDX was just what we needed for a good nights sleep. Our junior suite was well appointed with a functional kitchenette, a comfortable bed, a nice lounge area, and a large washroom. Though there were no windows to look out of, the skylight provided natural light during the day. Everything in the room looked so new, clean, and modern. Walking distance to Crush Bar, Holocene, and a host of cool shops and restaurants on Hawthorne St including the Hawthorne Asylum Food Cart Pod, the Violet Suites PDX is in a great location. Service was also wonderful through and through and we felt looked after. Will come back again on our next visit to PDX!

This is a very sweet spot in a great location. The owners have gone above and beyond to create a warm, hospitable, and aesthetically pleasing environment. They have paid attention to the 1000s small things that make a place feel like home. The neighborhood offers all the things: cafes, bars, pubs, restaurants, and stores. Highly recommend.
