I have to agree with Susan. Super frustrating to try to reach Delehoy for four weeks over winter break. No back-up, no assistant, no one. Choice of colleges was OK--but when some of them came back, we realized we wouldn't agree to pay for them. So to be out of the loop on college selection as a parent is simply a no-go. We have another senior and will not be using Delehoy again. As a service through a complicated, expensive, non-transparent, rigged process (getting into college), Delehoy was not worth the high fee.

Both my kids worked with Eric and I couldn't be more pleased with their experience. Eric's process and personal attention were exceptional. I have two very different children, one outgoing athlete and one introvert academic, and Eric took the time to listen and guide each one of them in a unique way that suited each of them. Not only is the program good for the student but is very good for the parent as well. Enlisting Eric's support allowed me to avoid nagging the kids about staying on schedule and instead allowed us to enjoy this exciting experience together. Eric's program and touch strikes a special balance between personal responsibility and support that is especially important for these emerging adults. I have been very impressed and quite grateful.

Our daughter graduated college this year from Agnes Scott College with no pomp and circumstance due to COVID.  BUT we were blessed and so elated and this would have been absolutely IMPOSSIBLE without the help of Eric Delehoy.  We started working with Eric the beginning of our daughters Junior year of high school and actually after that first meeting, our daughter worked directly with Delehoy College Counseling by herself unless something arose and needed our input.  He taught the skills of applying, meeting deadlines, investigating the colleges that fit her learning style and personality.  She had scheduled meetings at the counseling center and scheduled deadlines to make and this taught her the importance of commitment and follow through that carried with her through college and further.  She applied to 9 private colleges and was accepted to all 9 on some sort of scholarship.  As parents, we had not clue how the process of apply and interviewing worked. And we did not have the financial means to send her to college without some support.  We just didn't have the skill set to guide her, BUT DELEHOY COLLEGE COUNSELING CENTER DID!!!  ERIC WE THANKS YOU SO MUCH!!  Our daughter graduated with a Bachelors of Neuroscience with a Minor in Africana Studies and a specialty in leadership.  She is currently teaching and working on her Masters Degree!  I highly recommend Delehoy College Counseling.  Kami Thompson

I guess I expected too much. Realistically what can they do? The positives were they keep your student on track with deadlines and getting things done at a reasonable pace. Essay help is good, keeping the essay in your students voice, but helping craft the essay.  I think choice of schools is what Eric is used to not what is right for the student.  I didn't like the way parents were cut out of the picture after the initial meeting. I didn't like the way Eric takes vacation for a month at Christmas when a lot of applications are due. I didn't like the way he limited the number of applications- this is a numbers game the more applications the more options. I think it was too much money for the service and if you don't have the grades and test scores he can't work miracles. I think putting your money into test prep is a better option of your student has solid grades.
