I had a smooth and easy move in. Everything was planned out and accounted for, the community as well as the management team are all very helpful and wonderful people.

I lived in this building for 3 years. The first two were great when Prometheus was the property manager. When Thrive came in though at the end of 2021, the level of service severely declined. It was difficult to get a hold of staff via phone or email, and the office was often closed during business hours. Cleaning and upkeep of the common areas was no longer consistent. The garbage room was often overflowing, and service requests were not responded to promptly. A request took 4 days to get a response. A package delivery system was forced upon all tenants and packages were often stolen. The location is very central and is close to all the parks and food places. My unit faced north, had a great view, and was very well sound-proofed. The kitchen is tiny though. Rent prices were lower than other buildings in the area too. The Rite Aid on the bottom floor was nice to have, but it has also become run down due to the homeless that congregate at the entrance. Homeless tents are common on the side and back of the building too, and along Irving Street. Break-ins into the vehicles in the garage were common. I had a homeless man follow me into the garage one evening and I had to call security. The Pearl is a fun neighborhood, and though there will always be con's to downtown living, consider visiting some of the other buildings in the area before making a final decision. 10th @ Hoyt is just not what it used to be.

I have been living here for almost 3 years and I have no plans to move. There are typical concerns with apartment living but the team that manages the building is kind, thoughtful, responsive, and all around terrific. Whenever something come up that affects the community, they communicate and are true to their word. I am very pleased and grateful for 10th@Hoyt!

Ive lived in this building for 2 1/2 years and I have no plans to move. While there are concerns of broken amenities and lack of security, the current team working at 10th @ Hoyt is going above and beyond to address the issues with the resources they have. Those working in the front office work hard to be personable and dedicated when solving issues around the building and the maintenance team has made a huge effort to build trust with the community while maintaining the grounds. I think Zach in maintenance deserves a personal shout out, as he always goes above and beyond to make sure the building is functioning and the community is taken care of. The only thing I would warn other of is cars get broken into quite often, inside the gated garage and on the streets. This is a very good area for those who use alternative transportation!
