Ellen is a master! I tune in to her seasonal Chinese health classes to learn how to eat mindfully and according to the seasons and to discover what I should consume to treat different health issues. She is my nutritional guru and guide; I frequently hear her voice and wisdom whispering to me as I prepare our menus for the week. I am inspired by her brilliant mind and soulful heart and feel blessed to have her in my orbit.

Ellen has been my go to, wellness guru for years! I have especially been appreciate her ability to get to the heart of my concerns and then suggest the best course of action. This has been true during general seasonal change advice and issues regarding menopause. I particularly look forward to attending her seasonal classes and receiving her protocol suggestions.

At one point during her Seasonal Health Class series, Ellen Goldsmith said You are in the world and the world is in you. That phrase epitomizes the interconnections that she pointed our during the series. She drew from, and augmented principles of, traditional Chinese medicine as she showed us how interactions between the external natural environment and the internal environments of our bodyminds are mediated by foods, herbs, spices, sea veggies, and physical movements. Her nutritional pointers included lots of little-known tasty and tonic ingredients, interestingly odd combinations, and hacks like how to use the tops of root veggies that we usually discard. At age 76-77, I flowed and thrived through the four seasons of this class with nary a sniffle, ache or any other complaint. The "flow" state is integral to traditional Chinese medicine. I also learned how food is not only medicine and nourishment but also part of a fascinating realm of natural phenomena. So, yes, among their many curative, tasty, pungent and magical qualities, mushrooms really do talk! (Goldsmith is very knowledgeable about mycology and those chatty mycelium networks!)
