This used to be a hotel but has been remodeled and turned into housing for fire victims of the Alameda fire as well as low income individuals/familes facing homlessness, homeless individuals/ familes. It can also be considered a low barrier recovery housing program as they house individuals working on their recovery and are homeless or at risk of homeless and are trying to get a chance at starting new, as well as individuals with issues in behavioral, emotional & physical health. Most residents don't pay anything to live here, and those who do are on a low income scale as this housing program is meant to get people back on their feet that have had major setbacks while they look for employment , get in a position where they are financially stable, mentally & emotionally stable, as well as physically able, and work on any other challenges they may be currently facing and ready to get back to living normal lives again.
