The best hotel/motel in the USA so far, coming from Vancouver Canada by bike. Super nice reception and service. We were able to take our bikes into the room. Everything looks very new and high quality. The room was perfectly clean. We didn't use the pool, but it looked great too. The breakfast was absolutely okay for the price. Overall the price/performance was excellent. We stayed in a different motel/hotel almost every night, but this is our favorite in the US so far. Rooms: The room was perfectly clean and very large. Furnishings modern and valuable. Safety: Perfect. No worries at all. A very good neighborhood and a great team at the hotel that takes care of everything. Walkability: Shops, restaurants and the beach are all within walking distance. Food & drinks: There are plenty of drinks and snacks for purchase in the lobby. Coffee and water also free in the lobby.

The pool had way to much chlorine. The beds were hard. The bathroom toilet kept getting stuck down so it wouldn't flush. The breakfast was ok but they had no plates and ran out of eggs choice of cereal sucked.

I booked a room through Expedia for a night with my husband, my 13 year old, and my 14 month old. We were placed in room 123 that had two queen beds. Upon entering the room we were welcomed by a very strong pet urine odor. It was immediately noticeable as the rest of the hotel does not smell like that. The difference could be felt as you opened the door to the room. I am also pregnant so it felt even more intense. We thought it was in our head but when it became unbearable, we notified the manager, Shayne, and he only offered to give us room refresher spray. He also offered to change us to another room but only had one bed, which wasnt feasible for our party. I was expecting better customer service from himhe didnt offer a discount or any type of compensation. I had to call Expedia and they were only able to give us a $30 refund. We ended up paying $100 to stay a night in a very pungent-smelling room. One could argue that you get what you pay for, but even if we got the deal through Expedia, we deserve the same quality rooms that other guests receive when they book directly with the hotel. I thought I had forgotten our pack-and-play and asked if they had oneturns out they rent it out for $10 a night when other hotels dont charge for it. Fortunately we had packed it and the charge came off of our bill. The breakfast was plainbiscuits and gravy, bagels, yogurt and cold hard-boiled eggs. The location is great, the pool and the hot tub were functional. Sadly, the poor experience with the room and customer service left us disappointed and not wanting to return. Shayne acted surprised when I mentioned the room odor to him, yet I dont think he really was that surprised. For the sake of old and new guests, please ensure that room 123 is thoroughly cleaned, including the carpets, (they probably need to be replaced) before placing customers in it.
