No longer the nice little South Hilyard Clinic, now it's Valley Med. It seems most or all of the former staff has left in this transition. The new location is terrible. It's busy intersections all around the huge building. They now are offering cosmetic things like lip fillers. What!? Is this even a real doctors office anymore. My PCP quit at the end of April and I was pushed onto a new person, Laural Merz. She's been just awful. She keeps suggesting things I've already tried for a chronic condition. She can't seem to remember anything we've already talked about. Her medical assistants are rude/unhelpful. They call you about things but don't actually explain what they mean or follow up with you after a visit and say completely different things than were discussed in the visit. It's extremely hard to get an appointment, you could be waiting 2 to 4 weeks even if you're already an established patient. They offer televisits but the visits are full of technical difficulties. When I asked if that would be fixed, the front desk person gave me a round about no, they would prefer to not do televisits. After expressing my concerns and unhappiness with some of the things going on, I was contacted by the office manager. She told me I was dropped as a patient, she wouldn't really say why just that I had too many needs. I have some chronic health/pain problems, just as many as when it was south hilyard clinic. It used to be small clinic with nice helpful people that had the time and will to help you.

Dr Copperman is/was great. However he retired. So now I see a gal by the name of laurel. Every appt I have had, she forgets half of or never does half of what she says she will do. Im going through a very difficult time and to be lost in the shuffle is terrible. Whether it be medications that I depend on to simply not calling me back. Ive been there for years, but when they moved, for me a complete nose dive in care. Also I missed an appt which I never do. First time I think tbh and they sent me a bill for $100 no show fee. Had their care been on point no worries. But when I have to schedule two appointments to get done what should have happened in one, no I wont pay your ridiculous bill

Seriously the best clinic I've ever gone to. I normally see FNP Lindsey Wilson and absolutely adore her. I saw Dr. Alloway today, who was also wonderful. Their new location is beautiful, and the staff are always so friendly - from front desk, to medical assistants, to providers. I am so grateful for the care provided here.

South hillyard clinic is so great! New to the area so I picked it on a whim. But both Dr Alloway and the NP Lindsey have tremendous bedside manner! I would recommend this office to anyone.

I was heading to a new patient appointment that I had set out nearly a month. When I showed up the receptionist told me they couldnt see me because of secondary insurance issues, despite me having primary insurance they accept. I gave them permission to omit my secondary insurance. She said sorry we cant see you I left you a message this morningbut my appointment was in the morning so there wasnt much of a notice. They had a whole month to check the status of my insurance, and also never mentioned this policy to me. Had I been aware of it I wouldve handled it. They waited until the day of a new patient appointment that I had waited a month for to finally check??? Truly disappointing. Why wait until right before my appointment to tell me they would refuse to even reschedule me until there was proof my secondary insurance was removed. I dont have a problem with this policy as Im sure there is a good reason for it. But what I do have a problem with is them wasting a whole month, along with my time to cancel me the day off. People have health concerns and in that month I couldve either sorted my insurance issues or found a different provider to meet my needs. One who also chooses to employ kind and professional receptionists. If a patient cancels with only a 2 hour notice they pay a cancellation fee, but clinics can waste your time whenever they choose. Valley Med, why not verify this when you book someone???
