My primary care physician left inkwell and they dumped me in the middle of an MVA claim without even letting me know. I tried to make an appointment to follow up with my doctor about continued pain and complications from a high speed car accident. They told me she left and they werent keeping me as a patient. They told me they sent a letter. They didnt.

Jennifer Kalata left the practice and ever since the service has gone downhill. Front office staff answer the phones(be careful who you get) and require a payment before they will make an appt when they used to allow payment on arrival of the next appt as you were talking with the front desk staff. Used to be personal service. The first appointment I had in this office after my provider left was required to drive all the way into the office for literally a 4 minute appointment in front of the new provider(being told NO this couldn't be done in a televisit, I drove in and not a stethoscope or vitals checked by this provider but I was encouraged to set yet another appointment for a physical(did I set the appt? Heck no, not paying for the double billing.), the provider filled out a simple form, and a flu shot was administered by an assistant that was billed at a whopping $115 for a shot, and in all for less than a 10 minute appointment where nothing really technical was done was billed $313. Normally a decent office visit is worth the cost, but not when nothing was really done that justified an office visit and another visit was encouraged to be opened and billed. As a smart consumer of healthcare, nope not playing that game. I asked to get the chart notes on my account from this visit to see what the provider actually logged and got a message on my cell phone that it would be another $35 charge to present these records which is price gouging. Their services are being billed way higher with a huge decline in service. The family atmosphere is gone and it was what made this practice great, or maybe it was Jennifer Kalata she did have a very good way about her with her patients. Our family used to give them 5 stars and tell others about Inkwell for years. Not anymore. I just pulled my 5 star review and replaced it with this one. My family was with Inkwell since its inception. We had received good care there until the provider we were assigned to left for another opportunity. At that time we were unceremoniously dumped from the practice with minimal communication and left to scramble for other health care. The way Inkwell has handled this has been almost comically bad; even when they eventually replaced that provider they didn't get in touch with former patients to take them back on board. Years of continuity of care and trust was dismissed. I would never go back to them, knowing now what their business practices are like.

Ive been coming here for about 6 or 7 years, and have only ever received the best care. Jennifer Kalata is attentive and knowledgeable, and absolutely has her patients wellbeing at heart. She truly understands her patients needs, and is on top of making sure you understand your health, and any steps that need to be taken to keep yourself healthy (and why). Ive only seen Martin Hurtado a handful of times, but he is just as warm and welcoming as Jennifer, and he clearly cares about everyone he sees there as well. They trust you to make choices about your health, and are informative and ensure you know everything you need to in order to make those choices. Their staff are all friendly and on top of things, and always quick to help you in any way they can. I have never felt as truly cared for at any other providers office, and we are all so lucky to have them and their staff here.
