When I first moved out to the Portland area, these apartments are where I landed. I only stayed for a year as I moved even closer to work. (This place cut my 3 hour drive to 30 minutes) however, when I lived here it was managed by Princeton and the manager was a lady named Laura, very nice and extremely helpful. The only downside for me was working nights, Id be sleeping during the day and the thinner walls would allow the yelling of both adults and children come straight through. Other than that was a decent place for a single person. One assigned parking space and most visitors didnt care, and just parked anywhere. These were fine, cheap and worth it. More laundry access would have been nice as well

  • Been here about 8mo now- apartments are fine (and cheap) but a few things to keep in mind: The laundry is on-site and coin op with no change machine. Half the time you need to do any its either taken up or broken. Theres no private porch, you get a walkway that they dont want you to put anything on unless you have the end and then they can clutter it up. Bottom floors have a patch of barkdust in front of them. The veiw from the street might confuse you- the apartments are not the length of the building and are split "front" and "back" side. Front looks out onto the minimal parking (which we almost ALWAYS have someone else in our spot). Back has a little fake yard area, but if you're on the back second floor your veiw is the highway. The building is a flipped motel. So all the windows are on one side, the bathroom is through the bedroom with a vanity sink in the bedroom. The heat is electric wall boards that'll make your decorating more confusing than it should be...but at least there's a large (not cabinet style) kitchen! All that being said: When we moved in we had pretty new apliances (save for no microwave) it was clean, new carpet and paint (iffy job though). We were in a rush to get out from a bad spot and everyone at the office was kind and accommodating. The main office is in salem and thats either a plus or a negitive for you since theyre not directly HERE. But it's easy to call them up and there's a regular matinace man named George. Who's always been very helpful and kind with us. Never trying to charge extra or leave a mess and is very respectful of our place. (Agreed to coming over at weird hours to due our job times and worry about the cat escaping). There's also a dominos not even a block away and a 7/11 at the other end of the street. One of the bus stops in town is RIGHT here in the front. Theres no issue of shady types here or anything like that. Most you have to worry about is the thin walls.(loud snoring coming from the guys next to us let us know their bedtime lol) I'd recommend for a good money saver for a cheap one bed. Or a "my first" apartment type. But if you've got more income and want a little more comfort this may not be for you. Personally we're looking for something nicer when the lease is up.
