It has been over a year since we took possession of our NEW ERA HOME in Jan 2023. I want to highly recommend Todd McKinney and his very professional team. The planning process was very specific and detailed. NEH outlined all of the expectations that would eventually become a reality. We were given a notebook of documents that enforced NEH warranty and quality standards. Building a home in Central Oregon while residing in the Midwest was a difficult decision. I had trust issues regarding the quality of workmanship that could occur knowing I was not able to visit the construction site. The Buildertrend app was utilized to give me step by step assurance that progress was happening according to the detailed schedule. The schedule showed me 2-4 weeks of planned tasks that would be checked off when completed, as well as uploaded photos, documenting the progress. I was frequently consulted if any questions arose which gave me confidence in their attention to details and the effort to do everything according to my wishes. The end result was everything we hoped for. As with all construction surrounding covid, supply chain, and labor force shortages we did go over budget, but we were happy with the adjustments made and considered them more than fair, given the volatile environment and skyrocketing costs. There were very few issues at the 1 year warranty point but all minor items were promptly corrected. I assure you, this is THE company you want for your home. All of the team are wonderful. I still keep in touch with some of them and we drop by the office when we are in town to say hello. If I could give NEH a 10 STAR review, I would!!

New Era was great to work with. Trent, Lori, Steve, John and all the crews were excellent. Only minor hiccups that happen with any build and nothing that caused a delay of more than a day. There's a lot of moving parts and things went smoothly. Would definitely work with again. All the contractor friends we know were all very impressed with the quality and workmanship.

New Era delivered the house of our dreams. We began our process by researching builders that construct in our area. New Era's website was informative and clear that they provide plan-built homes but also had the flexibility for customization. Upon contact their sales team was very responsive taking considerable time showing us homes in various stages of build but also designs that we liked. This allowed us a good opportunity to view the quality of their builds. As we began our planning/build journey with New Era they listened! The planning process was a lot of back and forth focusing on our desired outcome while understanding the tough choices of cost/reward/tradeoff. Throughout this process they provided excellent suggestions, alternatives, and modifications to create our unique plan. As odd as it seems one of our most important objectives was to maintain the natural beauty of our property. We wanted the least amount of impact/damage as possible. This meant New Era had to work closely with their crew and any subcontractors to "stay on the path". That's a hard deliverable for those bringing in big equipment but they did it! Once our project was complete the area surrounding the build looked almost like the day they began. We especially appreciated the two general contractors assigned to our project (John and Steve, thank you!). They kept this project and schedule moving forward by coordinating when the various tradesmen could start/complete their work, even rearranging when one might lag when the other had capacity and made sense. The weather was always the wildcard but for the most part they were able to navigate it where it did not significantly impact the overall delivery date of our home. The day they turned over the keys to our new, beautiful home was one of the greatest ever. We know this will be our forever home and look forward to every day going forward. Thank you New Era!!

We cant say enough good things about our experience with New Era Homes. My husband originally wanted to build himself - as he is extremely detail oriented and exceptionally handy. When we realized the timing wasnt right and we needed to have someone build our home, we were nervous about the process. At the time we had several friends who had horrendous experiences with their builders and one even ended up in bankruptcy due to escalating costs.
We did a lot of research before choosing New Era, but were still worried about extra costs and things not being done the way we wanted them - mostly because we lived 3 hours away and knew we wouldnt be able to be at the construction site during every step of the way.
Once the build was on the way, we had nothing but pleasant surprises. Everyone we worked with from New Era was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Every time we visited the construction site we were impressed with the quality of materials chosen for our new home. One of our rooms is a dedicated weight room. New Era reinforced the floors for us in case any weights were dropped (something we hadnt thought about) The construction supervisors caught every tiny little issue and made sure things were fixed. We enjoyed our interactions with the supervisors and the contractors - and the pictures of our new home that were posted every few days.
We love our new home. Its beautiful and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The quality and attention to detail truly exceeds our expectations.
