I had a great experience with MHB as a builder and want to leave a 5-star review. They were professional, courteous, and incredibly hardworking. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an experienced company that can get the job done

It was such a joy to work with Frank and his crew. Mountain High Builders are a long standing local business of Central Oregon and do amazing work.

I'm coming from this from a different angle than most, I am the owner of Guarantee Air Duct Cleaning. Mountain High Builders contracts us to clean the ducts in the homes they build. New construction homes always have a lot of sheetrock, insulation, chunks of wood and garbage from the construction process, Mountain High cares enough about their customers to get that stuff cleaned out, and I find that very impressive. If they care enough to perform such a service, which the new homeowners don't even see, what else are they doing "behind the scenes" to ensure the highest quality? Nanci at Mountain High is an absolute pleasure with whom to work.

I hired Mountain High Builders on a referral from a friend. The owner Frank Polley seemed like a nice person. Frank did a good job on my farm house & we arranged to build a new duplex. Because of the higher end homes Ive seen of his I was concerned that I couldn't afford him. He assured me that he could match the price of my last duplex. He gave me an unsigned written quote which I agreed to. However Frank doesn't give fixed prices or sign anything he gives you. As the invoices were coming in at over $80,000 & higher, I asked to see the actual cost. His reply was "The customer isn't suppose to know the costs". It took my attorney to retrieve them. I tried to determine what was happening. I was at the jobsite daily to see if there was errors in material orders. Frank explained to me that I wasn't allowed to be there on my own property. I paid for & had 2 different insurance policys with 2,000,000+ in coverage. It turned out that there was errors in material orders, but this was just 1 factor as to why I was spending $80,000 over budget. He actually blamed me for the increases. Then the house started leaking in 5 or more places within weeks of completion. He said he wasn't responsible because of a special code that says if there is 6in of snow or more its the homeowners responsibility. A professional home inspection company took pictures and showed me missing material. There was no ice block, water shield, or even roofing paper in places. As I showed the photographs to Frank he said it was "just a rumor" & 100% refused to even go look at the issue, its located 1/4 of a mile from his office. I was completely shocked. My attorney had to convince him differently. The materials that were missing are vital components & code as of 2017. I have lived here 37 years,& have never been treated like this. Franks nice guy personality didn't fit what I was receiving for service. He hasn't been accountable for anything ever. To require attorneys to explain why brand new buildings shouldn't be leaking,(even with snowloads} or to have to file lawsuits to get anyone to stand behind their products isn't exactly the image or persona of a small town builder with integrity, or Christian based believer that he says he is. He's not offered even 1 apology. The roof was never repaired completely. Im currently filing a complaint with the department of Justice, Consumer Affairs, & BBB.
