First, they opened my pool and left the hooks up and my child ended up getting hurt. They came that day and fixed it so I stayed with them. But then they cleaned our pool and left the hose out (on a day they weren't filing it). Also, have a hard time getting a hold of them.

Byrd did not build our pool and we've not had a prior relationship with them. We had an issue with our pool automation and it was suggested we contact them. After calling them they took my name and said their tech would call us and later that day he did! He walked me through the Pentair app and got it fixed over the phone. He saved us a service call and a service charge. He was very patient with my questions and got us going again. Thanks!!

Contacted Bryd pools in Sept 2021 thru a recommendation from the company that did our liner as we could not find another plumber that did skimmer work, we were losing about an inch of water a day, they got out to pressure test in Oct 2021, the guy who came out to pressure test cut the lines effectively making repairs a have to rather than a maybe (my daughter & youtube redid the plumbing). We were told both skimmers were leaking, quoted more than the new liner cost. After trying to find another less expensive company (there aren't any licensed) the contract was signed in March 2022. Told we were 5th on the list. Called a couple of times to see when work would start and was told end of May/1st week in June. Called mid May to see how to pay the down payment, was told no worries work would start June 3rd. Called at 9:45 June 1st to start job instead of June 3rd, I agreed was told they would arrive shortly. Repair men arrived 1:52 pm on June 1st started tearing up concrete. One guy left at 3:09. 2nd guy left at 3:41. Total for day 2ish hrs. Workers arrived at 7:54 on June 2nd started digging skimmers out. Ran into issues on the one skimmer so they stopped working at 10:51 til Sup could get here to give an estimate for repair. Sup arrived, looked at the work, told me what he found, Sup said he would send an estimate the morning of June 3rd. I asked if it could be sent by the evening of the 2nd or I would not be able to speak to my son til the evening of the 3rd. Left at 12:08. Workers left for the day at 2:05. Total worked for June 2nd 5 hrs. No work on June 3rd. Could not talk to my son until after 6PM on June 3rd to go over the quote. Messaged sup evening of June 3rd that work was approved with my daughter digging a trench with our tractor for the new line. He messaged they would be here June 6th to cut the sidewalk cement and mark dig lines. June 6th Sup and 1 worker arrived at 3:30. Marked lines and cut the concrete (did not break it up; important, error would have been discovered). Both left at 4:19. Worked 45 mins. My son went out to start getting the concrete broke up to find not cut correctly so it was cracking the surrounding concrete. Messaged sup for suggestions who said it may not have been cut right (not surprising as worker had trouble figuring out how to turn the saw on). My son kept working at it to discover it was also being held in place by rebar that had not been cut. Total worked 45 mins for the day. 1 worker came out the morning of June 7th to correctly cut the concrete worked 30 mins. No work June 8th June 9th both workers started to work at 8:43 left at 1:48. Breaks 1 hr 5 mins, worked 4ish hrs.(The breaks may have been due to high heat index) Asked about them doing a 44 ft cement pad for the pool pump that was sitting on dirt. Quote of $840 (600 labor for 6 hrs) was way to high, My daughter decided to do it herself. She did the pad in 4 hrs for a total $160 including cost of rented cement mixer. June 13th Daughter was inspecting work to find that one skimmer was installed wrong. It was tipped back with part of the gasket showing, a crack where soil was showing through that ground water could leak from and there was cement in the new pipe. Notified Sup right away, sent pictures of problems. June 14th Messaged to find out when work would be completed. Finally got a call from worker, said hopefully June 15th. He also told me that gasket and crack were non issues as water would never reach those areas. For the money we are paying the job should have been perfect not kind of okay. Total actual hrs of work for the 11 business days on the job rounded to 20 hrs, no work at all on 3 of the days with shoddy work on one of the skimmers. For $7622 the job should have been perfect. They weren't horrible just shoddy, biggest complaint is they are really really expensive and I feel they over charge because they are the only licensed company we found who does skimmers and may have figured we, being women would not know the difference. (Sadly google made me cut a lot of my review hopefully you get it as written) Service: Swimming pool equipment repair

Update! They waved some charges and the guys on the phone have always been very responsive, helpful, and professional. Hiring right now is really tough and I think they may have some inexperienced employees working for them that do not know what they are doing. I had to call someone else. Took them quite a few trips and they wanted to come out two more times to finish opening my pool, literally, took the next pool guy 45 minutes to do!
