      image This is our second pet with AMSH East. Our 1st dog with them had worsening health conditions over a 3 year period. AMSH East was wonderful in her care up to the end. We recently brought our 2nd puppy to them and have no doubt that she will get the same great care!!!

      image This review is solely about price. We took our cat there that had an abscess and needed a tooth removed. The quote was $600 on the low side and $1000 on the high side depending on what needed to be done. We took him to a vet we used previously (we had changed because we moved). The quote was $100 on the low side and $200 on the high side. This included a full exam, antibiotics, sedation, X-rays and pain medication. They also scheduled a follow up exam which was included in the price. We ended up paying $143 for top of the line care. Its crazy that the animal medical and surgical hospital is 5-6 times more expensive for the same exact care!!

      We strive to provide the best for your pet. There will always be someone who will do something cheaper. Cheaper does not mean better. The quote we gave included bloodwork to evaluate your cat's white blood cell count, kidneys and liver. We included antibiotics since the tooth was infected, Dental X-rays to see if there were other teeth in the area that were having problems and supportive care to monitor your pet's vitals before, during and after the procedure and a dental cleaning to make sure the other teeth were healthy. I do agree if you want someone to just pull the tooth, we are not the veterinarian for you. We are the advocate for your pet and want what is best for the health of your pet. We do, however, understand financial limitations. That is the reason we give estimates before any procedure. You do have the ability to decline the things you may not be able to afford. We will work with budgets but we will always recommend the best for your pet.
