We hired Advance Design and Remodel to redo the kitchen in our 118-year-old home and couldn't be happier with the results. Andy came up with a great design that gave us more functional space within the home's footprint. The team was respectful of the property, very clean and did a beautiful, quality job. Would recommend to friends and family (and have!) and would also hire again for other remodeling projects.

Andy lays out the process from step one to project end. Showed us what the remodel will look like on computer before starting. Everything was detailed and professional. Easy to work with and answered questions throughout the project. Those that work for him know what they are doing and were also professional, detailed and respectful of the property. Definitely recommend if you are doing a remodel.

We recently had a basement renovation completed which was the best experience with work done on our house. The planning was smooth, and the work itself follow it perfectly. Our expectations were met every step of the way. Everyone we worked with, including subcontractors, was easy to communicate with, professional and did quality work. The basement went so we, we engaged further to get more work completed upstairs in our house. We have and will continue to recommend Advance Design and Remodel to anyone looking for work done on their house.

We hired Advance Design and Remodel to remodel our house. We bought a side by side duplex that we wanted to convert into a single home. The scope of the job was quite large, large enough that we decided to break it into two parts: the inside remodel, and the outside that we will do in the future. A lot of the remodel requests from us were to match the original style of the house to try to make the add-ons look like the original as much as possible. On the top floor we requested the floor boards not to be color matched with the original floor to give an utilitarian look to the rooms. The inside remodel touched pretty much every room in the house. The two sides were connected on each floor. One of the two kitchens was converted into a laundry room while the other kitchen was opened to be connected to the dining room. The top floor of the house used to have 4 bedrooms and 2 under roof storage areas which were all converted into two very large rooms. On the second floor we combined two bedrooms to make a large bedroom. The two basements were connected together. The electrical was combined and we also installed a subpanel on the top floor. We installed a minisplit AC in every room of the house. To support the load for the AC the top floor roof was insulated with spray foam. All the floors were refinished. A new entry was created, and had a custom tile design floor installed. A laundry room was built with custom cabintes that would integrate into the existing builtins. The laundry room also got a tile floor, with some very fancy hand molded tiles. The scope of the job also included installing all sort of appliances, built in cabinets, a new kitchen and a bar between the kitchen and the dining room. The job lasted several months and went smoothly. The contractors and subcontractors were all very nice and did a good job with dust containment and keeping things clean and in order. The work happened during the covid shutdown, so a couple of items ended up being delayed because of disruptions in the supply chain (ex. custom handmade tiles arrived after the company reopened). It was easy to communicate with Andy and the crew and to keep up to date with the progress. During the construction we decided to change a few things and Andy was super quick in adapting the plan and create change orders. They were able to organize the work as to minimize the time we had to leave the house, which was very much appreciated. We opted to paint the rooms ourselves to lower the overall costs of the project. In terms of the process. We met with Andy and he measured the house and made a cad model. He then showed us mocks of what all the rooms would look like. He gave us a rough estimate of the total cost of the project and a rough estimate in terms of time to complete the construction. We decided to sign the contract with Andy, as he was extremely professional, well organized and very precise. This was in the winter 2019. Andy scheduled the work in the spring 2020. The construction started ontime, even with all the covid mess. We would meet on fridays to see the progress of the work and discuss details that might need attention. The work lasted several months. For the first month we were using a side of the duplex while they were working on the other side and on the top floor. We eventually moved out so they could work on all the parts of the house. They completed enough work for us to move back into the house while the finish trim work and kitchen installation. Highly recommended company. Service: Remodeling
