I have been a patient of new day dental for years. However I took a year break because I had left my career in car sales and started a entrepreneurial business so I was without insurance a good while. Once I became insured again I tried calling to make an appointment for over a month off and on and would leave voice messages with no call back. Once I finally got someone to call me I made an appointment and I arrived 9 minutes late. As soon as I came in I openly apologized to the front desk and explained I was on a call that I couldnt get off. Meghan stated they give a 10 minute grace period but that because they didnt have an assistant that day I could not be seen. I pointed out I arrived within the 10 minute grace period, but Meghan could have cared less. She didnt apologize she just stayed firm on her decision and said how does Monday or Wednesday sound? I said I just busted my tail to get here and I arrived within the 10 minute grace period yet you still wont see me? She said, you need to be checked in within 10 minutes. I said what does checking in involve? She said, coming up to the desk and advising the front desk your here but you were talking when you came in. I said, so me talking by apologizing to you for running late is penalizing? I asked who I could talk to about the way she was being so uncaring and unprofessional and she said Im the office manager. I said well surely there is someone above you I can talk to. She said there is but I only have her first name. I pressed her for her full name and she finally gave it to me but said there was no number to call. An assistant happened to come up to the desk and asked me if I was to be seen, I told her I was told I couldnt be seen. She said, oh, ok and walked away. Which made me feel even more devalued. I then explained to Meghan how her overall demeanor was coming off and that it isnt how anyone should be treated. I said it sounds like the real reason you cant see me is because your short staffed. I said should you call a patient and advise them? I told her I would have understood and rescheduled. But instead I busted my tail to get there to be told I couldnt be seen. Meghan said we dont sit around looking at the clock calling people when we are short staffed. At that point there was no doubt she simply lost her luster and care for patients in general. She was just going through the motions. I mean she didnt know my life or what I was going through or facing nor did she care. I knew at that moment because I had challenged her in front of another associate and holding her accou table for her actions she would possibly hold it against me for future appointments so I asked for my dental records and i asked if could pay my final bill. She promptly obliged never apologizing or asking if there was anything she could do to turn my experience around. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
