Residence Inn by Marriott Wheeling-St. Clairsville, OH

What a pleasant surprise! This property felt brand new and our king studio room was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful as well. Make-your-own fresh waffle and biscuits and gravy...delicious. There's plenty of shopping and dining options nearby, but you'd have to have another reason to be in the area Checking seemed to take longer than expected, but after that it was smooth sailing.

I thought the point of hanging a DO NOT DISTURB tag on my door was so I didnt get disturbed. Im pretty sure the tag says all set, my suite is good for the day. But apparently I dont understand how to speak English. First instance, they had furniture refinishing scheduled every day for about a week. So I didnt know when, or what day I would be interrupted. Second instance, Along with having fire alarm testing scheduled during my sleep hours (Which they were made aware of). Having people come into my room not once, but twice whilst I was laying in bed trying to sleep. Making the smoke alarm chirp on the second time entering my room. Third instance, my door got beat on twice and then they tried to come in. Its a good thing my door latch lock was closed. (All while I was half naked getting ready for work.)

We were there a few weeks ago with our puppy. The desk clerk was amazing. We got their in the late evening. It wasn't super busy ... she came and sat in the loby with me chatting and petting our puppy. She talked about places to eat around the hotel. The hotel was under remodel but was very clean none the less. The room we stayed in was a suite, extremely clean, and looked brand new. The entire staff was kind. We will be back if we are out that way again.
