Highly disappointed. I am a licensed engineer and was trying to obtain Ohio's license to practice in Ohio. I contacted the customer service to seek some details regarding some of the requirements that did not make sense for an already Licensed Engineer. Received very short, rude, and useless answers. Extremely unprofessional and outdated rules and requirements. While I do understand that the state needs to make money, but please, be more realistic about the requirements for a PE license transfer for a person with 15 years of experience and already licensed in another state.

I am licensed in Ohio, among other states, and can attest that the entire team at the Board are uniquely helpful and supportive of questions on both new licensure as well as renewals. The EPortal system they have started using is somewhat in-depth, but is easily navigated and flexible once you have your account established. I can say only good things about Ms. Dodge and Ms. Tucker and the rest of the team at the Board. It's clear they are looking to ensure the rules and regulations are enforced, though are also sensitive to the needs of keeping a business running and compliant.
