This week, I purchased the car of my dreams with the aid of SMART Federal Credit Union. The employees were extremely helpful throughout the process. They ran through many scenarios to assist me in receiving the best interest rate and payment for my budget. Derek was patient and calm as we went through the easy process. I am would recommend using SMART for your next auto loan. I am excited to be driving my new car!

Smart FCU is amazing! In fact the whole Federal Credit Union idea is amazing. My wife and I have been members of Smart Federal Credit Union (formerly Franklin County Teachers FCU) for over 40 years. The fundamental mission of a bank is to make a profit. The fundamental mission of a credit union is to serve the needs of customers as a nonprofit that is owned by the customers and run by an elected board of directors. I feel our assets are secure because Federal Credit Unions are insured just like banks; also FCUs together share common state of the art information technology and support systems, just like banks. We have used our credit union to get loans for several cars over the years. Hands down they always have the best rates, and incentives like reducing points on my loan by writing reviews. (Im getting points off my loan right now by writing this). So thats full disclosure, but my former students know that Im a pretty honest guy. Bottom line: if you want to put your money into a place that is customer centered, use a Federal Credit Union. If you want to put your money into a place that is profit-centered use a bank. Oh, one more thing, the hard working folks at our credit union are both personable and friendly and they treat you like family, and that is worth a lot.

Smart Federal Credit Union made my car loan process easy, and fast. I greatly appreciate Derek's prompt response and willingness to work with the dealership to get the loan approved. I couldn't be happier
