Very dirty, felt rushed during the whole experience by staff and the doctor, he couldn't even slow down to talk to me during my procedure because he must have a quota to reach, but don't worry the nurse and anesthesia talked enough about staff members snd other inappropriate stuff while I waited for the doctor. overall the staff and doctors are very unprofessional. I couldn't believe the gossip and bad language. The building is very dirty too.  I couldn't believe it plus a staff member with blue hair (unprofessional) was talking to another staff member at the front desk about inappropriate stuff.

The doctor we have is incredible but the surgery center experience was horrendous. My husband showed up and got checked in. They called him back and while I understand covid protocols they almost took him back without telling me I wouldnt be able to go back and see him again once he got settled. Thankfully I asked and she said no so I was able to say my goodbyes. He had surgery and all went well but then 20/30 min after the doctor came to give be an update post Op they called and said he was ready to go. They bring him out half slumped over in the wheelchair from being incoherent, in intense pain and barely able to even speak. He is bleeding from his eyes, which wasnt discussed with us might happen. I told the desk and they told the nurse but she didnt come out. I was given sterile pads and then asked the nurse to come check which she reluctantly did. Then Im given a couple of sterile pads and sent on my way. He wasnt even awake from his anesthesia hardly. He wasnt offered any drinks or ice or anything post op. His mouth was stuck together. I had to stop on the way home to get him a drink and help him drink it where he was so out of it. He wasnt monitored once they woke him up. He couldnt even help them dress him. They had to do it all and was dressing him as they were waking him from his anesthesia saying he was ready to go. He wasnt sent to try and use the restroom post op..nothing. I worked in a ccu and completely understand post op protocol. This place was short of horrible. They treated him like he was a paycheck and not a patient. I would not recommend this center or if you use it make sure to discuss procedures for post op with your doctor and them. Absolutely horrible.

The surgery went well on both eyes. Staff was friendly and professional. Subsequent billing was ridiculous. I was sent two invoices. The first one, from Cleveland Eye Clinic made no sense to me. What was shown as the amount I paid was some random number, a lot less than what I had paid up front. I called customer service and was told that the bill was in error, that they had a new billing system, and that I didn't owe anything.I just received the second bill, this one from the Brecksville Surgery Center. Again, what was shown as the amount I paid  was inaccurate. The customer service rep reviewed my account and told me how much I owed, which was a different amount than what was stated on the invoice that I received. She was throwing out numbers that weren't on the bills I received. Please get your billing together. Please stop sending bills that apparently don't even match your internal records, leaving the patient confused about how much is actually owed. I told the rep that I'll consider paying the bill when I get an invoice that shows clearly how much Aetna was billed, how much they paid on the claims, and how much I had paid or still owe out of pocket. Like I said, the medical services I received were excellent. It's a shame you  make the practice look bad with amateurish and confusing billing.

3 years ago I had cataract surgery without anesthesia but was charged $2,200 for the sedation anyway. I asked for my medical records to confirm the charge and was told it was "something we usually don't do" regardless of the fact that the Health Records and Information Privacy Act of 2002 guarantees me that right. After waiting weeks to receive the records I called about the sedation charge and was basically accused of lying when the employee told me she found it "hard to believe" I didn't have sedation. Well, I didn't and they reluctantly took my balance off the bill but did not reimburse my insurance company. I have no problem whatsoever with the doctors or optical assistants at Brecksville Surgery Center. My point is, watch your wallet if you have cataract surgery there. Oh and, take a good book because the wait times are horrendous.
