Dr. Jonathan A. Forbes, MD

I truly believe that Dr Forbes saved my mothers life. Her story began with a wonderful endocrinologist who discovered my moms pituitary tumor after months of uncontrollable blood pressure that literally could have killed her. Dr Patel referred immediately to Dr Forbes who was hesitant at first to do surgery given moms age if 83 and many com morbidities but who took our concerns to heart . His bedside manner is impeccable. I can honestly say that God blessed us with Dr Forbes and his team and gave us our mom back . A successful pituitary tumor removal and more time with my mom. Dr. Forbes is an excellent surgeon. He performed a craniotomy on me and was present at my follow up appointment. He took his time and went over the procedure with me and answered every question I had. When I was admitted into the hospital I did not know him but he came to my room everyday before surgery. He is wonderful!!!!!

I had been in pain for several months suffering with trigeminal neuralgia, and waiting for an appointment for months with another hospital. I called Dr. Jonathan A. Forbes office and was given an almost immediate appointment. From the start, Dr. Forbes filled me with confidence that he could solve my problem. The surgery was scheduled extremally quickly and was completely successful. Dr. Forbes exceeded all my expectations including personal care. He called me multiple times to check on me following the surgery.

I have been doubly blessed! Blessed that the tumor was found. Blessed that Dr. Jonathan Forbes was my neurosurgeon. From the moment my family and I met Dr. Forbes, we had complete faith in his knowledge and competency for such a task. He explained, listened and answered all questions completely and patiently. He and his team were always very easy to talk to and very accessible. We felt strongly that there was no need for a second opinion in my case. I was so comfortable with Dr. Forbes and his team that I unbelievably had a smile on my face all the way to surgery (honestly, I did)! Five months out and enjoying life! Also, I believe, behind every great neurosurgeon is great staff! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, as well as my families and friends. Godspeed Dr. Forbes!

Per my Grandma, Dr. Forbes patient: I started seeing Dr Forbes in 2021 for a Meningioma on my optical nerve. He was just monitoring it because, at that point, it was found accidentally through an MRI for something else. In July of 2022, I began to have double vision, problems with peripheral vision and eye movement. Dr. Forbes got new MRI and determined the tumor had grown. A surgery to attempt to remove the tumor was scheduled for September 2022. Unfortunately the tumor was not able to be removed but Dr. Forbes was able to decompress the nerves surrounding the tumor. I woke up from surgery with no symptoms and left the hospital the next day. Dr. Forbes recommended radiation and sent us to Dr. Wang. Our follow up with Dr Forbes was in April of 2023 along with a new MRI. We received wonderful news from Dr Forbes, he believes that the tumor will always be there but that all the symptoms and issues that it caused are behind me. Honestly I wanted to hug the man but felt this review would do more. Dr Forbes has been wonderful. Dr Forbes took a terrible situation and was kind, explained step by step to help me understand on a level I could comprehend. I received news I wanted to hear but if the news would have been differently Dr Forbes would still have been my choice.
