Dr. McPherson put 3 plates, screws and bone grafts in my husbands neck early in November. Within a week after the surgery he no longer needed any pain medicine, after he had suffered for 9 months. The recovery was very fast and it's as if he never had it. The staff at his office and the Mayfield Hospital were amazing. They were very professional and compassionate. They sent us home with great care. We highly recommend this doctor and his staff.

I saw Dr. McPherson for a ruptured disc which was causing severe sciatic pain radiating down my leg to my foot. Dr. McPherson was recommended to me by a dear friend (an experienced surgical nurse) due to his excellent surgical skill, low surgical infection rate, and optimal patient outcomes. I found Dr. McPherson to be personable, caring, thorough, and appropriately conservative in his approach. He's an excellent communicator. He gave me appropriate pain needs and I recovered with no surgical intervention needed. He said that sometimes watchful waiting is the best approach, and he was right! I will return to Dr. McPherson if I need a neurosurgeon in the future.

Do not have surgery with this person. He is very unprofessional and very uncaring. After my surgery he did not come to see me, and he never called to see how I was doing. I have tried numerous times to talk with him about the pain I still experience, he will not listen and does not care. I am now seeking care with another surgeon that is more qualified and competent. Because of his mistakes I now am having another surgery. Look at reviews elsewhere of this Dr., they are not good. They must take down the bad ones on here!

I was referred to Dr.McPherson by a close friend that knew I was scheduled to see a Nero surgeon in Kettering that wanted to perform a different style that was said to possibly limit my movements so I scheduled a visit with Mayfield and the rest is history! Dr McPherson has to have hands and manor blessed by God and I dont say that lightly! I feel lucky and so blessed to have put my faith trust and well being in His hands! 2 weeks out so Im still on the mend but I already know it was a success! If you are on the fence with another Doctor I tell you to get a second opinion with Dr. McPherson! I dont think theres a better Nero Surgeon on the planet!

He was exceptionally accommodating, honest, and willing to answer questions. He also relieved some of the worst pain I've ever been in and that's worth a lot more than 5 star review to me.
