image Its ridiculous that I came in as a vet tech myself who could not get ahold of the Dr on a Sunday with my cat who was suffering and dying to be euthanized and you wanted almost 800 to euthanize. And because as you should know no one in the animal world makes much money I did not have the 800 right then and there you send a animal away suffering that alls it takes is to euthanize it I know the cost of the products used to do it you could buy years worth of supplies for what you charge one person. Sad its turned into more about money then it has the animals.

image Had a very good experience. I had to rush my cat in around 3am a few days before this he was acting strangely but i thought it was just a uti so we made him a scheduled vet apt that was about 4 days after his symptoms that was the soonest we could get a Scheduled apt at our vets office, plus I was under the impression it wasnt anything life threatening. Well the night before his apt he was starting to act very weird and I could tell he needed vet attention that night. I rushed him to medvet and the vet informed me he had to be rushed into surgery due to a urinary blockage that would have been fatal if I didnt take him in that night. I was very concerned and upset durning all this but the vet office made sure to call me with check ups throughout the day and they were polite once when I called to ask for an update without them calling me first. Frankie (my cat) had to stay a few nights at the hospital and I was allowed to visit him once which really helped me feel better and I think made him feel better as well. When he was ready to come home it was Easter so no stores were open so they sent me home with some special food to get him by since he now has to be on a prescription diet. They even called a few days after he was home for a check up on him.
Overall they saved my cats life and were helpful and caring !

image Poor communication and bad approach all around.
TL;DR: I paid $200 to speak to a seemingly unconcerned doctor and then get lectured about my dog. Might seem like a bold take but this is, quite honestly, a solid description of my experience.
I setup an appt with Internal Medicine and was never told they require dogs be taken back without owners for initial exam - you really should disclose this upfront since some dogs do better with their owners present.
So, that was a surprise when I got there, and I explained I have a primitive breed rescue who's still decompressing and she'd do better with me there. Nope, it's policy. So I gave the tech some pointers and sent my dog back with her muzzle.
Fast-forward the Dr came in and essentially said it could be many things and here are the diagnostic options but gave no... tangible direction or recommendation? Very robotic in delivery and non-communicative about what all of this means for my dog's life moving forward. I felt like I was the one leading the conversation - like pulling teeth to get thorough answers.
I finally just decided we'd come back after running an additional test with our own vet. He steps out and while I'm waiting for paperwork they AMBUSH ME with a behaviorist who I did not ask to speak to.
They are concerned about my dog "not living her best life in so much fear"... literally said those words. All because my dog didn't do well during an exam alone... at a new place... with complete strangers touching her.
I trust the behaviorist had good intentions deep down. But MedVet, THIS IS NOT HOW YOU APPROACH PEOPLE.
Work on your delivery. Work on your policies. Work on your communication. Work on your emotional intelligence.
I know my dog well - I'm not denying she needs more training and I understand that it matters for vet care... but I'm just shocked at how you chose to approach my visit.
How did it become so centered on her behavior and NOT her health issues??
I came in scared for my dog's life, looking for MEDICAL ANSWERS.
I got very few answers and a whole lot of unwarranted DISRESPECT.
