Do not hire this Wilmington Home Improvement or the owner Mike Z! IIf I could give 0, zero, stars I would. Don't trust Mike Z. He is a scammer. He did not complete nor do my job as quoted and agreed. The main worker, Jay, who said he did most of the work told me Mike never paid him or his guys for the work they did on my house. Mike talks in circles and makes excuses about not being able to get into his business bank account or cash checks etc. Then he lied and tried to get $1500 more money out of me stating the quote he gave me was for labor only. When I showed him our texts, the quotes and emails about the job, he retracted the claim I owed another $1,500. What a scammer. He told so many lies and contradiction. He was supposed to take out all the bad flooring, replace all the bad flooring, make them secure and level all the floors, do some framing,, take out all the trash at the project close in 2 windows and move a door. They left so much trash under the house, an old shower tub combo in the bathroom they were supposed to remove and trash around the house including old doors. Mike was supposed to rent a dumpster and delayed starting the job because he had to wait until the dumpster was delivered. He never got a dumpster.
He put plywood on top of the damaged floors. some of the plywood has nothing under it, not secured, in the kitchen, living room and bathroom and cabinets, the toilet or tub can eventually fall through. He did not level the rest of the floors either. I had no idea they stil had the rotten floor under the plywood until the plumber pulled a panel up to do his work. The rest of the contractors could not believe it. You can bounce up and down on many areas of the floor where the floor is not attached to any joists under it. Mike has been paid all his money and will not come back and do the job right. His worker Ray said Ray himself used to own the business and Mike took over the business and is scamming people not doing the jobs right, not paying workers and lying. Don't trust or hire Mike or this company. You will be sorry if you do. Ray said he himself would come back and do the job right if Mike pays him what he owes him. It should have all been done right in the first place. I will be reporting him and talking to my attorney about pursuing legal action.
