We recently moved here from out of town and were looking for a new place to live. Mark with Star Team Real Estate assisted us in finding the perfect home to accommodate our exacts needs. He was able to walk us through numerous homes using FaceTime, which saved us a lot of money eliminating flights to see our home options. Having him as our GC and realtor was a game changer as we could then lower our purchase price as we knew he would create what we wanted so we just focused on the area we wanted. We wanted to open up our kitchen to our family room as we wanted to be able to entertain and cook. To accommodate our request, he suggested we remove a large portion of the load-bearing wall between the two rooms. After he reviewed our attic framing structure, he suggested we install 2 LVL beams to support the existing ceiling. He explained the load limits to us and put our minds at ease by going over what code required. He built a temporary support wall on each side of the existing wall, then removed the load bearing wall. After installing the 2 LVL beams, he hung new drywall, mudded and painted the new area, which was the concept we wanted from the beginning but couldnt find. After that came the kitchen as it was very dated and there was visible water damage to the floors. He removed the existing cabinets, ripped out the kitchen floor, laid down new oak flooring which he sanded and stained to match what was in the living room and then installed the new cabinets. Additionally, he installed a new venting system for our microwave oven, which now vents out our roof instead of inside the house like the previous owner had it. Lastly, after the countertops were installed he came back and put in our unique backsplash. We couldnt be any more thrilled with the results (see pictures) and we took advantage of his special client pricing so we are now planning our next projects for him!

Mark and his team at Cape Fear Remodeling were astounding. He helped design and build out our full bathroom remodel. He was very insightful and had great advice as issues arose. He and his guys stuck to the timeframe and quote. They were very polite and showed up on time every day. It's great to have a GC that we actually trust and can recommend. We couldn't be any happier and look forward to using our bathroom now!

In the past year, Cape Fear Remodeling has worked on two projects for us: an extensive outdoor deck and a custom bunk bed for our oldest son. Marks attention to detail and creativity set him apart from the rest! We couldnt be happier with the work that Cape Fear Remodeling has done because of the outstanding quality and service!
