Red Leaf River Inn

I stayed in the carriage house this weekend for a yoga retreat. Wow- what a great weekend! I love a rustic mountain house, and this was a really perfect time of year to check out RLRI. Victor was the consummate host and if you even think about going out to eat instead of him cooking you dinner, you have made a terrible choice- the food was amazing.

My husband and I stayed here for a nearby wedding last weekend and loved it. It was so cozy, and Victor is so kind and hospitable! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Would absolutely stay here again! I bet its just lovely in the autumn considering all the trees on the property.

Fancy and uppity, this is NOT. Rustic, laid back, quiet, relaxing, and away from the busyness it IS. Food is magnificent. I would much rather order supper than go out to eat. 3 course meals are awesome. Accommodating and helpful owner which will give you good recommendations for things to do. Very enjoyable stay.

My husband and I have stayed at Red Leaf River Inn so often that we've lost track of how many times we've visited! Victor is an incredible host, welcoming us back like old friends each time. We always leave feeling relaxed and eager to book in our next stay! Rooms: Charming, rustic, cozy rooms that are perfect for a quiet evening away, snuggled up next to your spouse with a good book. Nearby activities: Shopping/restaurants/coffee shops in downtown Waynesville (8-minute drive), Lake Junaluska (12-minute drive), Maggie Valley (21-minute drive), Western Carolina University (31-minute drive), Cherokee (37-minute drive), Great Smoky Mountains National Park (38-minute drive) Food & drinks: Victor is an excellent chef! If you are considering the dinner option, do it! Everything he makes is delicious!
