At first these apartments seemed nice and were too good to be true. Within the year of living here: the AC was broken for 2-3 months, pet owners dont clean after their pets, theres one source for throwing away garbage on the completely back end of the complex, the hallways reek of marijuana, and youll be fined $50 per garbage bag for leaving a bag outside your door in the trash bin they provide you. Everyone has different experiences, but the one my family and I have had here isnt what we expected and definitely isnt a good one. My mother should be able to reach out to office workers and have them respond since its well within our right by paying the rent we do here.

the ASISTANT manager is unprofessional. she needs to fix her damn attitude, focus on the other issues around the community, instead of the trash.

9.5.23 UPDATE: We had our car broken into and stolen off the lot, and recently saw broken glass from a car in another location. It's disappointing that the management does not make us aware of safety concerns (there has been an uptick in Kias as a target for theft, and our community is not immune to it). Since they are not willing to be honest and make the community aware, you should be very cautious with your vehicles. Despite having a decent few months, this is disappointing, and we are now questioning the safety, security, and transparency of this complex. In addition, despite the many pet bag stations, there is just dog poop EVERYWHERE. There are just way too many pets here, and no one cleans up after themselves. It is becoming unbearable the amount of poop you have to encounter. The amenity issue has been fixed but no one cleans up after themself when they use the grills. It's a grease fire waiting to happen, and there isn't frequent cleaning of them by maintenance. I signed a new lease, and now kind of regret it. This part of the review was posted around February 2023. I like to wait before writing reviews, especially if I move in because I like to be fair and comprehensive. I've lived at Broadstone now for about 4 months. So let's go: The Good: 1) The leasing staff is great. All three women are good, responsive, and helpful. Even when they mess up, they find ways to help. So generally, the move-in process was good, with some minor but manageable hiccups. 2) The apartments are spacious and beautiful with great appliances. Neighbors so far seem to be respectful, and I am enjoying my space. 3) There is a lot of parking, so parking is easy, and there are rarely any issues 4) They try to put on events and offer opportunities for the community to come together, which I appreciate. 5) Maintenance is responsive, and the grounds are pretty well kept. The Not so Good 1) Amenities. You do not have access to the amenities in the way that you would like, and it's extremely disappointing since it is a big part of the draw and factors into the cost. The clubhouse is pretty much always closed and only open during leasing staff working hours weekday working hours--9-6 pm (this includes limited access to free beverages, games, TV, etc.) The podcast room no longer has podcast equipment. Even though we supposedly have access to use the grills, they don't yet work, or you don't have access to them. The amenities are a huge draw, yet you can only access the fitness center and the co-working spaces. 2) They recently sold the place to a new management company, and in my experience, this is not always good. I await how this will impact us, our experience, and the facilities. We are already getting a new community manager and I am curious to see how it compares. 3) I am nervous about all the good as occupancy rates increase. It is still lower occupancy, so very curious to see as time passes how more folks will impact the experience. I am hopeful that it will be maintained. Overall, it is a GREAT location and a good experience. With improved community access and all of our amenities up and running, I think it will be more wonderful.

Matthew Alfalla, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Unfortunately, with the ongoing supply chain issues and the unit needing a new coil, the HVAC did take longer than we anticipated to repair. While I understand the central system was not working, we were able to provide 2 portables units during this time. Trash fines are only charged should you leave them not in a can, and on the ground. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, please email me at [email protected] and I am happy to research this for you. You and all residents at Broadstone Oak City are always welcome to reach out for assistance. Our manager would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us at (919) 594-1404. We look forward to hearing from you.

K Dot, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Broadstone Oak City! We are currently working on a system to allow 24/7 access to the clubroom, so please bare with us while we navigate through this.
