United Community - CLOSED

Ive been banking with UCBI for about a year since they took over Aquesta Bank . I was with Aquesta for 7 yrs. I have always found the staff at the Williams Road location to be very helpful! Especially Dawn the manager and Sherry. If I have an issue, they work to resolve it immediately and with a smile. I find the tellers friendly and greet me by name whenever I am at the bank. Excellent service! Feels like family!

Aquesta Branch at exit 33 is absolutely the best bank! Dawn and Sheri are terrific. I will miss this branch so much and wish youd change your mind about closing it. Has that hometown feel where they know your name

Terrible bank. Terrible service. I tried to cash a check drawn on United community bank which was from my Attorney at this location. The teller (a male) insisted my check was fraudulent and called the police on me. After spending 45 mins on the side of the road at gun point by 3 different police officers, they were able to call the bank and verify it was in fact a real check, from a united community bank in Illinois, that is not affiliated with the united community bank in North Carolina. All the police and detectives had to do, was call the number on the check and verify it which took them 10 mins to do. The teller at this bank should be terminated, for putting honest peoples lives at risk. All the teller, or bank needed to do was call and verify the check. Instead he embarrassed me in the lobby by calling me a fraud, his exact words were I can 100% for certain say youre trying to cash a fraudulent check and called the police on me. I will also be contacting the same attorney, who this bank called a fraud as well to see what my legal options are as I plan to sue this teller & bank for gross negligence and discrimination among many other things.

Unprofessional and rude male teller, did not catch his name but hes in his late 20s, or early 30s. Wont be doing business with this bank again going forward.
