        Don't expect them to warranty work. Had them rebuild engine and transmission. Once received vehicle back, instantly had transmission issues which was repaired again after several weeks. Not even a year later after receiving repaired vehicle, having transmission issues again. Talked directly to their subcontracted transmission rebuilder who would repair transmission under warranty but would not cover labor costs since Auto Lube and Repair removed and re-installed transmission. Auto Lube and Repair wouldn't cover labor cost claiming performance parts were added (by them) so 1 year warranty doesn't apply. Seems like a shady way of weaseling out of a warranty especially since they repaired it for the initial transmission issure. Would not trust them to do any more work for me.

        Dishonest Had my car towed to Auto Lube & Repair because my car wouldn't start. They said they had to replace the battery before they could do a diagnostic. I told them that the car started acting goofy after I was pressing on the brake pedal and all lights were flashing in the car and then it would not start. All they did was replace the battery for $338. Got the car back and the brake light was out, blower and the windshield wipers not working. Took it back to them and they told me the wiper mechanism and the temperature control panel needed to be replaced for $1,400. I told them that couldn't be, try checking the relays and fuses. They said they did. The lady at the front desk is very rude. This business must have changed hands they used to have knowledgeable friendly mechanics. We took the car across the street to STR. They are very honest and found the problem right away. It was a relay for $114. STR also has shuttle service that Auto Lube & Repair doesn't.

      Matt,For those reading this review, i notice you've only reviewed 3 companies and given them all 1-star reviews. You've been a good customer, always paid on time, and received some great builds to show for it. Yet we never received a 5-star for your GTO or Trailblazer, strange?! Now, to address this issue. First, we messaged you to inform you that the transmission shop did the last install and repair, AND we towed it there for FREE AND picked it up for you for FREE. We contacted them for you and they said they would look at it for free. Additionally, you don't have a mild build, you have a full performance stroker build making well over 600hp, so lets not mince words and misdirect our readers. Secondly we've never seen either of your cars for service or maintenance post build, except for the time you admittedly ran the Trailblazer off the road and ripped the wheel speed sensor out of the hub. Warranties don't cover abuse and neglect, so with no service being performed and only a repair for out-of-control driving, i feel we did more than our part. So yes, we don't honor warranties on racecars that are abused, but we do honor warranties for OEM vehicles and craftsmanship. Thank you for finally reviewing our shop after the years of hard work we put into your vehicles. You know in your heart we don't deserve this review, but we'll take it on the chin.       Good Morning Lynn, First I'm sorry you're upset and we didn't serve you at our highest level. I would like to politely disagree with your "dishonest" subject though. This wasn't a case of dishonesty, it was simply a misdiagnosis. Unfortunately the day you came back, our Master Technician wasn't in and the younger technicians tried their hand at electrical diagnostics. Normally this would be his department. Additionally i can assure you, if you had approved the job, when we had tried to install the parts and your car had the same problems, you wouldn't have been charged. Our mission statement clearly states that we operate with integrity, that's why we show up every day and do what we do. I am glad you went to see Spencer at STR, we are allies and not competitors, they are good people as well. We understand that customers switch shops after the first bad experience, we see it in the other direction all the time as this is a difficult business. Just like doctors, we don't get it right the first time every time. Vehicles are becoming grossly complex and the problems even more so. Therefore, I'm sorry again for your experience, but i don't believe we deserve (not only 1) but 2 - 1 star reviews on two platforms. I hope this finds you well and we wish you a blessed week.
