Quality Inn & Suites Matthews - Charlotte

It was cool for a one night stay. But I would suggest housekeeping do a better job cleaning and maintenance fix the raggedy shower and water pressure. We found several dead bugs in our room, and the shower would not run well without the faucet also running. So it felt like taking a bath and showering at the same time. The water pressure also had the toilet flushing slowly. We will be back for more tournaments but will be staying elsewhere.

We showed up around midnight in the middle of a storm. The night clerk Chris was awesome helping us get in a room. The door readers weren't working and Chris helped us get in our room. He made us feel safe and waited on us to get inside. I'd gladly go back and stay again.

Hotel jumping around Matthews. Needed a place a hunker down after leaving the parents, trying to avoid the sketchy places. I was concerned because of the reviews but it's obvious after being here that the renovation did wonders and the staffing has gotten worlds better. A solid place to lay your head, feel safe for a few days, and be treated kindly. The breakfast is fun and has few but plenty options to fill and prep you for the day. The front desk is attentive and well put together. I have no complaints aside from not being able to stay longer but that's one of the reasons it's so clean. Laundry machines take quarters. I'd recommend gluten free options, more fruits for the breakfasts, and the wifi doesn't stretch across the entire place but it does what it needs to, gaming a is a little difficult on it but who cares.
