The Valley House

CUTE! We visited from Utah driving around the park and stopped here. Not at all what we were expecting and got so much more than we hoped. $17.95 for a 4 course meal and the food was SO delicious. Oh my word, it surpassed the Paula Deen restaurant we went to and left us feeling satisfied. Family owned and such a great experience. If we are ever in the area again, we would come back in a heartbeat.

LOVE this restaurant. True downhome cooking. The vegetables were delicious, cooked perfect. We ate shepherd's pie off the specials and turkey and dressing off the menu. Then we went back again and had the chicken special. Butter beans are amazing! Meals come with salad, meat and two sides and dessert. The rolls/cheese garlic biscuits are to die for! Highly recommend!!! Very cozy inside and both our waitresses were awesome! Dietary restrictions: They gladly omitted an ingredient that I could not have and cooked it to my request. Due to suspected HVAC issues another place we tried was closed. Decided to give this new place a try, turns out they've been open for 3 years already. This was lunch. The cheese steak and fries are very good. Portion size is large. The special chicken pot pie wasn't typical, instead of a pie-type crust it had a crumbled up biscuit for the top. Not bad, but would have been better with the pie top. Okra was very good.
